Paper gains that don't even belong to the top 10% of holders who bought immediately after launch. Fuck, they don't even really belong to the first of that top 10 list to sell! The best real defense of the totally normalized illiquidity on new amm pairs is that it would probably be an awful waste of resources to provide these proficient rotatooors with more capital to sell into. Funny to think there are sectors where founders build products and ship them, and then focus on those products instead of focusing on providing 10-15 traders with instant, outsized returns in thanks for them taking on minimal risk

I would say itโ€™s mildly disingenuous to parade uPnL as PnL especially when itโ€™s 7 figures and there is 400k of liq
I don't know from seyong & haven't used fomo seriously yet but I do like se off vibes alone Always has seemed genuine and common sense. that can't help but stand out when this industry almost pays its founders to become the "elephant sucking its own dick with its trunk" meme the second they get an ounce of motion for a single week

fomo led its first round with 140 angels and currently has 200+ angels on our cap table. early founders almost always get company <> angel investor dynamics wrong. u should view angel investors as call options on ur PRODUCTS success. u may get a major tech CEOs/celebrities/athletes/etc. on ur cap table, but the chances of them being helpful early are near zero. as u scale and build something ur angel investors are actually excited to use and proud to share, u unlock more and more individuals who become naturally compelled to share ur product with the rest of the world.

Venice eco needs to fund teams building on the stack if the protocol wants to proliferate tokenized perpetual inference as a money lego that can be plugged in wherever people are playing with money & legos

don't really understand who would want to bid against clanker founder for clanker strange decision but will be happy to beat em either way it plays out
two wed morning notes - $QUOTIENT breached $1m mc on rh, my angel investment will retire my bloodline, prediction market traders who use quotient are 56% less likely to lose money than traders who dont - $LIQ x base:0xb3d7e0c3c39a1d3f1b304663065a2f83ddf56d8e v2 days away, will likely roll out autono v2 first ๐Ÿซก the self-funding loop is about to become a whole lot more performant

unclear to me why base would want to limit tokenized equities to any particular trading venue will trail adoption on RH for the simple reason that the uniswap stack has proven over and over to be builders preferred venue for low caps / launchpads

one big question for me re:diem is: as price rises will venice consider a budget increase? , if capture on diem's inherent yield remains = / > 20%, I'd bet price is resistant to much increase if that yield increases (ie if the discount on diem's daily budget lowered via more demand on discounted inference marketplaces) and if venice were open to increasing the cap, I could see the introduction of leveraged yield farming driving significant price expansion which would be an amazing headline for the asset plus, diem is denominated in venice or minted via locked VVV. if VVV prices continues to scale tracking Venice's revenue, it would make sense to scale DIEM's compute budget with it. or it could. idk - thoughts?

your launchpad: - super loud on the TL, has extracted some absurd amount of $ from thousands of tokens that are mostly down bad at this point our launchpad - has really gone to bat for two tokens, both of which are at healthy and bidable marketcaps rn ($1.6m, $750k) and turned $250k in fees into $362k via smart treasury management. keep our costs low by not spending much or paying ourselves salaries, are still looking to hire a lead dev but in the meantime are cooking absurd on v2. will be counted out until we are suddenly at the head of the pack (much as it happened before) so so much higher

What an arc this would be - start Clanker, own 50% - Clanker does really well - asked to leave Clanker, give 50% of Clanker equity to my cofounder - co founder sells Clanker to farcaster - farcaster winds down, fc investors get most of the Clanker $ we earned - new team takes over Clanker - new team asks me to come back, I say yes - a few weeks later the new team says no we changed our mind nvm we don't need you - new team shuts off the token buybacks from fees, unclear what happens to those fees from that point forward - token trends to zero and fees decay generally from many millions to couple hundred k - new team winds down Clanker and farcaster, starts soliciting bids for both so that they can return money to their investors - og team returns to actually generate value again ๐Ÿ˜Ž Here's my view: Clanker would be extremely valuable in our hands, it would be an iconic story, and we could revive an eco that was once great. But what should we pay for it? Should I take money we've earned to buyback something we built and I gave away to people who then sold it? No portion of the proceeds from the original Clanker sale went to me... no shade to any of those involved but hard to say what the best path forward is here. I'd feel most comfortable giving current owners upside in Clanker 2 But in spite of a complex history.... i do sort of want to run it back liquid ๐Ÿ’งclanker ๐Ÿค–

There are absolute losers who have never done a single thing of interest or value, who have only ever extracted whatever pitiful $ they've been able to snatch from the swirling mass of speculative churn that is what attracted them to this space.... And I can reliably find these types replying to random @m00npapi posts saying "stfu chud" One of the most consistent opportunities that exists in this insane parasocial industry is to simply ignore whatever that type of person does on a day to day basis and instead focus on shipping literally anything. Try to sincerely make something that retains any interest or value for more than a moment, generate novel experiences, transform possible futures. I truly mean this: if you attempt to build anything at all and do it with sincere intent and effort, you will set yourself apart from a sadly significant consumer base online, and from so many slop devs you're competing with. If you go a step further and your work is creative, unique, or better realized? Man You can really run it up. Thank god for the other kind of user (which liquid is so lucky to have in spades rn) the thoughtful, sharp and consistently engaged users who identify value obsessively, watch out for disingenuous actors and support small teams in spite of more readily available emotive and self-superior attitudes or accusations that pile up when the first sells come in. Hope, positivity, sincerity and faith pairs really well with hard work :) for founders and users too
