i’ve been in kazakhstan for a week, and it’s crazy how the local alternatives to doordash, uber, and chase absolutely mog the original products.
i’ve also noticed that kazakh companies always seem to become super apps.
for example, we have an app called kaspi that basically combines chase, paypal, amazon, doordash, and uber into one.
its valuation is $19 billion.

What would the ideal techno-optimist country look like?
It'd build 100k units per year in one city alone. It'd deliver a low cost of living for its people. It'd be tolerant and meritocratic, recruiting talent from around the world, while also training its own citizens to win international STEM competitions.
In short: it'd be much like Singapore, but with ample space to expand. That country is Kazakhstan. And you'll be hearing much more about it.

I’m editing a video about my experience at @ns, and it’s bringing back so many incredible memories.
Being at Network School while it was in Malaysia was hands down one of the best experiences of my life. I met amazing people, incredible builders, and was treated with so much kindness every single day.
