Seeing my portfolio dissipate before my eyes had me on cold sweats. Built it from a mere $800 I had saved up. @0xBossman shilled $USELESS in their tg back before it dipped to $5m. Back then I was a buyer. I started coming back to X and meeting the community, lurking still .. I saw how much bagworking was being done, and by whom. Feeling inspired to do the same, Bits was born. Ever since then I've built this "USELESS HQ" universe with Bits as the security guard, I've been posting daily and enjoying the journey. Creating new situations and ideas around the USELESS HQ has been a blast and seeing others engage with the content is fulfilling af. Now after many "USELESS 101" spaces and over a year posting about $USELESS I move all my funds to fomo and two weeks later get hacked. I shared a post with my findings, to highlight where I could've been better and hopefully prevent it from happening to someone else. No browser trading until further notice. That post I shared, was RT'd many times by friends I've made in the community and they showed up to try and get @theunipcs attention, in hopes he would help. I thought, why would he help? We've barely spoken ever. We're part of the same community but that's about it, right? Wrong. He actually dmed me to ask what happened, check up on me and even offered to help. We discussed it. I was so in shock, I even tried to suggest that since the sudden funds loss with certain trades he had posted about, he could skip on this and no hard feelings. He refused. Uni was actually seeing the bagworking, and even enjoying the content from a far. Such a big account with so much volume in messages and spam, yet he reached out and showed out. He actually refunded my hack. How strangers can help someone else So much during such a dark time is God's work. Forever grateful. Thank you @theunipcs 💐✨️

Sharing findings in hopes of helping someone else. My first time getting hacked after 5 years in crypto. Saving credentials on a website or "Remember my credentials" in any way creates a security token. That security token is nowadays very easily exploitable as it can be stolen from your browser without raising any alarms. The breach happens due to some cookie, apk, or small file downloaded from a browser. The file works as a bridge, could be downloaded just accepting terms of service on a website. Using @fomo wasn't necessarily the issue, using the browser app was. Especially due to credentials saving automatically for comfortability. Lesson learned. That was my mistake as my information was most likely already exposed and this just allowed a way in. No notifications, no emails, no alarms, all gone. I still have my health and am restarting with a whole new setup and system. The picks I had are now up, I was early but correct. I believe I can work my way back. Somehow. To the many good wishes, and to all the ppl who RT and tagged, thank you for trying to help. Amazing community to be a part of. $USELESS forever.
