With cleanup efforts following the Dove Fire underway, @Cal_OES Debris and Watershed Operations answered questions about disaster cleanup and provided general erosion control guidance during a visit last Tuesday to Tuolumne County. Team members, state and local partners toured the burn scar led by @TuolumneSheriff's Office of Emergency Services.

CERT is made up of neighborhood volunteers trained in the vital skills and methods for fire suppression, search and rescue, and disaster first aid.

Since June 1, California has deployed 3,372 personnel and 258 pieces of equipment to support emergency response in 12 states and two countries.
Many of those resources come from local government fire agencies mobilized by Cal OES through the California Fire and Rescue Mutual Aid System. More than 200 local fire agencies provided support, deploying a combined 2,921 firefighters and 172 fire engines and specialized equipment.

Leave NOW if you are under an Evacuation Order. Those under a Shelter-in-Place Order who choose to stay must be prepared to sustain themselves for at least 7 days. If you cannot self-sustain for 7 days, leave the area now. Please check the zone map for changes.
Hwy 1 will be closed between MM 50.1 and MM 45.0. Those who choose to remain behind in the closure area will not be able to move freely, as the fire poses an active danger. Stay off roadways and do not attempt to travel through or return to closed areas.
For those evacuating, a shelter will be open at 5 PM on 8/27 at the Carmel Mission Inn Conference Room at 3665 Rio Road, Carmel. For evacuation assistance, call the virtual Temporary Evacuation Point at 831-647-7760.
