This past week’s announcement by the Trump EPA, delivering the LARGEST POWER SECTOR DEREGULATORY ACTION in U.S. history, is being hailed as “A NAIL IN THE COFFIN” for the Obama and Biden Admins’ efforts to regulate much of the U.S. energy supply out of existence.

As a member of President Trump’s National Energy Dominance Council, I’ve had the opportunity this year to meet with many leaders from around the world who have never been more interested in diversifying their country’s supply chain by tapping into U.S. energy exports. This is important for our economy, national security, and environment. I’m currently meeting with several of these foreign leaders at the G20 Energy Abundance Ministerial, taking place this week in Houston, Texas.

If you drive a diesel truck for work, farming, or ranching, you know the absolute nightmare that forced Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) shutdowns can be. @EPARegion6 Administrator Scott Mason says the EPA has proposed a rule that will completely ELIMINATE this mandatory deratement system and put thousands of dollars back into Americans’ pockets: “Over time, we project that it's going to be over 13 billion in savings… You think about the economy and how it's driven by literally diesel-powered trucks on the interstate system and hauling our food, and our medicine, and our goods. That cost doesn't stay with the trucker. It's always passed down. So if we can save the trucker or the farmer in the field money, we're going to end up saving the American consumer money. It is @POTUS and Administrator @epaleezeldin listening, but also delivering for the American people. What a novel concept, but that's exactly how our Trump administration functions. We listen and we deliver.”

The Long Island Sound Partnership has been a massive success to improve water quality and restore critical habitats. Excited to announce Nikki Tachiki as the new Director of the Long Island Sound Partnership. I’m confident she is going to do an exceptional job in her new post.

In every way possible, President Trump, @VP Vance, and this entire administration have made it a top priority to fight for the East Palestine, Ohio, community that experienced a terrible train derailment in February 2023. Today, Vice President Vance and I sent a joint letter to the EPA Inspector General requesting a comprehensive, independent investigation to provide further transparency.

The people of East Palestine deserve a government that is transparent and accountable to them. If the Biden administration withheld public health risks from the community, they must be held accountable. Today, I am formally calling for an investigation into who knew what, and when. @epaleezeldin and I will get answers.

The Trump EPA is leading the way on eliminating animal testing by embracing cutting-edge, gold standard science like never before. We just unveiled two scientific advancements that will allow EPA to more accurately predict inhalation and oral risks from certain chemicals and pesticides, and we’ll be able to do it in significantly less time than it takes to conduct an animal study. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, not only have all permits been secured for the NESE pipeline to deliver natural gas to over 2 million downstate New Yorkers, but ground has already been broken, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. I was in Nassau County, New York, today where local leaders have been working hard with the Trump Admin to deliver affordable natural gas to Long Island families and businesses.

The Trump EPA just announced another MAJOR environmental win by deleting all or part of eight Superfund sites, and proposing to delete portions of three more Superfund sites, from the agency’s National Priorities List. Every day, our team is working hard to clean up Superfund sites across America.

⛽Under President Trump’s leadership, and in consultation with @ENERGY @SecretaryWright, EPA just used our authorities to issue a temporary emergency fuel waiver that will increase U.S. gasoline supplies and reduce costs.
