BREAKING: US MILITARY LAUNCHES STRIKES AGAINST IRAN
US Central Command said its forces have begun launching a series of strikes against Iran, in response to what it said were Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, per Reuters.
The military said the strikes are meant to impose costs for targeting commercial shipping, and called Iran's aggression "unwarranted, dangerous, and a clear violation of the ceasefire."
The strikes follow the Saudi tanker attack reported earlier today and the US move to revoke the license authorizing Iranian oil sales. There has been no immediate comment from Tehran.
