I’ve spent the last year showing up onchain almost daily — trying apps, bridging, clicking through everything I could find. Not chasing hype, just trying to see what actually works. Abstract feels like it’s built with that reality in mind. The difference shows up in small moments. Moving from one action to the next doesn’t feel forced. There’s less hesitation, less second-guessing, less friction stacking up. It’s an Ethereum L2, but the focus isn’t just scaling numbers — it’s making the whole flow feel natural. Onboarding makes sense. Discovery isn’t a hunt. Apps don’t feel isolated from each other. Underneath, it’s solid — ZK, strong data availability, real infrastructure. But that’s not what stands out first. They’re not just pushing tech — they’re leaning into culture. People don’t stay for infrastructure. The person who introduced me to Abstract is going through something that I genuinely think deserves attention. His YouTube channel, which he has been building for almost 2 years, was recently terminated because of alleged sexual content. The thing is, I've been watching his content for a long time, and I've never come across anything that would justify that decision. He has consistently been creating crypto content, helping people understand the space and, especially, helping newcomers navigate one of the toughest markets we've seen. I wouldn't be in the Abstract ecosystem today if I hadn't discovered his content. I really hope YouTube takes another look at this and gives him a fair chance to appeal. I know I don't have a huge following here, but maybe someone who sees this has connections at YouTube or knows someone who could help. I would really appreciate it. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 I've spent a lot of time looking at Abstract, and the more I understand how the different pieces fit together, the more I think there is a bigger idea behind it. If we zoom out a bit, the macro picture is actually pretty simple. Crypto has become extremely good at building infrastructure. The harder part has always been turning that infrastructure into something normal people actually want to use. For years, using crypto meant learning how wallets worked, keeping seed phrases safe, installing extensions, switching networks and figuring out which transaction you were supposed to sign. Abstract seems to be approaching that problem from the other direction. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 AGW removes a lot of the friction that normally appears before someone even reaches an application. Email and social login. Passkeys. Account abstraction. A much simpler way to create and use an on-chain account without forcing a new user to understand crypto infrastructure first. For people who have been in crypto for years, these might sound like small improvements. For someone completely new, they can determine whether the first interaction feels natural or confusing. Mass adoption won't come just from making crypto interfaces easier. It happens when people can interact with on-chain products without constantly worrying about what's happening underneath. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 Removing friction from the wallet is only useful if there is something worth doing afterwards. This is one reason I find the Portal important. There are already countless applications being built on-chain. The problem isn't always availability. Sometimes it's simply knowing where to look. A user shouldn't need to arrive with a complete understanding of the ecosystem. They should be able to explore it. See what's available. Find something interesting. Move on to something else. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 The chain doesn't need to be the reason someone opens an application. The application itself should be enough. The blockchain simply needs to make the things happening underneath possible without constantly getting in the way. You still need the ownership, settlement and programmability that make on-chain applications interesting. But the user shouldn't have to think about every underlying mechanism just to use the product. Abstract seems to be pushing much of that complexity underneath the surface. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 It's what happens when the wallet, account abstraction, discovery layer and applications are designed around the same user experience. A person can enter more easily. They can discover something without already knowing its name. They can interact without constantly thinking about networks and transaction mechanics. And if the experience is good enough, the technology underneath becomes almost invisible. As on-chain activity grows and more applications start competing for attention, discovery becomes increasingly important. The more useful experiences appear on Abstract, the more valuable the layer connecting users to those experiences becomes. That is probably the direction consumer crypto needs to take. Not asking everyone to become a crypto expert before they can use a crypto product. Building products that people can simply use, while the complicated parts happen underneath. If this trend continues, Abstract could grow alongside the maturation of consumer crypto itself. And I find that much more interesting than simply asking whether another blockchain can process more transactions. Today is XP day. Looking back, it was probably because I spent far too much time reposting instead of creating. Toward the end of last year, I started over with this account. At first, I honestly had no idea what I was doing. I didn't know how to write threads. I didn't know how to tell stories. Creating content was never part of the plan. Then I found Abstract. I stayed because of the people. Little by little, reading builders, creators and community members changed the way I looked at writing. Today, I'm cleaning up my profile by deleting most of my older posts. That even includes my 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲. Some parts mysteriously disappeared over time anyway, so I'd rather repost the entire series in the right order. If you've already read parts of it, thank you for sticking with me. Sorry if you'll have to see some of it again. I want this profile to reflect who I am today, not who I was when I was still figuring things out. For the first time, I genuinely feel like I've found my own style. Hopefully X doesn't mistake that cleanup for bot behavior and suspend this account too. I don't think I have the energy to build a third profile. There are communities we never choose. The town where we are born. The school that shapes our earliest memories. They become part of us long before we understand what belonging means. Then the internet changed the rules. For the first time in history, people could choose where they belonged. Not physically. Emotionally. Every follow became a small decision. Every conversation became a doorway. Every community became a place someone entered voluntarily. That's a remarkable shift. Because belonging has always been one of the rarest things humans search for. We usually spend years looking for places where we feel understood. Sometimes we find them in cities. Or in friendships. Now, we find them online. The strange thing is that nobody remembers joining a community. There isn't a single defining moment. Nobody wakes up one morning thinking — "This place feels like home now." It happens quietly. A familiar username appears again. A creator whose work you always stop to read. Someone celebrates your success before you've even had time to celebrate it yourself. A joke only the community understands. Without realizing it, strangers become familiar. Then familiar becomes normal. Eventually, leaving feels stranger than staying. The technology was the first thing that impressed me. I honestly thought it would also be the thing I'd remember most. I was wrong. The people quietly took that place. Like everyone else, I started by exploring the ecosystem. Soon, I stopped asking what I should try next. I started asking what everyone else was talking about. That's how I found Moody. And Tollan. Not through an algorithm. Through people. One recommendation naturally led to another. Over time, Abstract stopped feeling like separate applications. It became one connected experience. Not because every project was similar. Because the same people kept moving between them. Builders, creators and players constantly crossed paths. That's when I realized something. Technology connects wallets. People build communities. And that's what I've come to appreciate the most. When I look back, I won't remember every quest. I won't remember every badge. I'll remember the conversations. The people who inspired me to become better. Those are the moments that stayed with me. Maybe that's the real achievement. Not building software. Building a place people genuinely enjoy returning to. Eventually you stop opening Abstract just to see what's new.
