I absolutely believe Derek Chauvin deserves a new trial. George Floyd’s case involved multiple medical factors that deserve to be discussed accurately. His autopsy documented fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system, significant underlying heart disease, and a positive COVID-19 test. When a man is sentenced to decades behind bars, every piece of medical evidence should be thoroughly examined and fairly presented. This case unfolded amid enormous political pressure, nationwide riots, nonstop media coverage, and an atmosphere where an impartial proceeding was extraordinarily important. A new trial does not automatically mean an acquittal. It means a new trial. No mobs. No politics. No predetermined outcome. Just the evidence, due process, and a fair courtroom. Derek Chauvin deserves that. 🇺🇸

He survived 9/11… but these three teens took his life. Roger Borkum, 52, a former World Trade Center worker who narrowly escaped the September 11 attacks, has died after a brutal assault, according to authorities. The suspects are 13, 17, and 19 years old—and some people argue the younger suspects should not be prosecuted as adults. I believe every one of them should face adult charges. What happened was not harmless. Authorities say they approached him as a group, repeatedly assaulted him, and left him with injuries he never recovered from. This man survived one of the darkest days in American history… But he couldn’t survive what allegedly happened on the streets years later. He deserved dignity. He deserved peace. He deserved the chance to grow old—not to have his life cut short by a violent attack. Accountability matters. And the response should reflect the seriousness of what happened. Pray for his family. And pray for a country that needs to get back to respecting life.
