By next year this role is going to 10x ANY business. I’m hiring a UGC Engineer @shownmedia. I explain what this role is below. We’re the reason why billion dollar companies go viral. We want to be the BEST tech marketing agency in the world And to do that we’re hiring a UGC Engineer to take us there. What you’ll be doing: Objective 1: Find the creators. Source and vet creators across Instagram (and adjacent platforms) who fit a client's category, tone, and audience What you bring: You know the difference between an account with 200K followers and no engagement and an account with 20K followers that goes viral every third post. Objective 2: Communicate with creators. Be the person creators actually want to hear from What you bring: High level of negotiation skills, set expectations on posting cadence, and keep creators motivated through a 3-month sprint without babysitting them. Objective 3: Write the briefs. Be the translator of a client's product, positioning, and goals into a brief a creator can actually use What you bring: Insane ability to write both sides: the client-facing brief and the creator-facing brief, and make sure nothing is lost in translation. Objective 4: Run point with clients. Be the calm, credible voice a tech client hears when they ask "so what's actually happening with our $50K." What you bring: Ability to report on what's live, what's performing, what's next, and what you're changing before they ask. Objective 5: Track everything that's posted. Know, at any moment, what every creator on a campaign has posted, when, and how it's performing. What you bring: Years of experience catching underposting, missed briefs, and off-strategy content before the client, internal team, or anyone else can. Objective 6: Coach creators on the content itself. Give real, specific feedback on hooks, pacing, and format What you bring: Experience teaching creators and confidently saying things like: "this hook loses people in the first second, here's why." You're not just relaying briefs, you're making creators better at their craft while they work with you. Objective 7: Debrief and improve. After a post over- or under-performs, know exactly why What you bring: Knowing how to turn any video into a clear, specific note the creator can use next time. The best creators on your roster should feel like they're leveling up every week. Objective 8: Stay ahead of the algorithm. Know what Instagram (and the broader platform landscape) is rewarding this week, not last quarter. What you bring: Insane knowledge of formats, sounds, hooks to use with creators and what clicks with their audiences. Knowing what algorithm changes were made the second it comes out, and educating creators on it. These are HUGE asks. Which is why whoever comes in has priority support from our 130 person team. Why now: We ran an experiment internally. One of our clients came to us and asked if we could generate more content on other platforms. Since last month, they’ve generated over 200M views and thousands of signups from UGC. This is no longer negotiable for companies that want to exponentially grow. Billion dollar clients are begging us to run this for them. Why choose us: You are going to be one of the most impactful roles at @shownmedia. A lot of times people choose jobs because of the title, compensation, or status In this job, you’ll have all 3. Apply below if you want to be in charge of dominating the tech marketing landscape with UGC.

I run a 118 person company. My monthly payroll is nearly 7 figs. I lift 5 days a week and eat clean, but the human body was not designed to stare at Slack and Google Sheets for 14 hours straight. The vyvanse keeps the revenue flowing Pieter.

Suno raises 400M at a 5.4 b valuation The backlash they are getting is CRAZY Should AI be trained on real humans work? Or does this need to be regulated?
Suno - a company that trained on "essentially all music files of reasonable quality that are accessible on the open Internet", and argues it does not need to pay to do so - is now valued at $5.4 billion. They will pay for GPUs, and for engineers, but not, apparently, for the music they use - other people's music - without which their models would not work. I know lots of musicians who will be upset. I am with them.
