We’re gonna start testing our first V8.2 edit model today. This model supports editing with instructions, generating images with other images (up to 4 references), brush-based inpainting, and outpainting. It also works with personalization, moodboards, and srefs. Have fun!

We've released a new big-batch draft mode for V8.1. This new mode lets you generate 24 lower resolution images at the half the price of a Standard res 4-image Midjourney Job. When you like an image just press "Vary" to get new versions at full resolution. Enjoy!

We've made V8.1 the new default model for all users on Midjourney. V8 will now be deprecated in 2 weeks. V8.2 will start testing extremely soon.
V8.1 is live! Our iconic aesthetics are back w native 2K HD rendering - 3x faster and 3x cheaper vs V8. Full quality V8.1 1K mode is faster than V7 draft mode. Image prompts are back. New "Describe" is live - and you'll love our new moodboards & srefs. More soon <3
