Tesla FSD in Europe The European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) are trying to stop FSD from getting wide approval in Europe. They have been critical of FSD for some time. ETSC have written to the EU Commission urging it to pause the process while a number of "urgent questions" are answered and the desirability of allowing such systems is discussed publicly. Meanwhile there are several question marks about ETSC and their conflict of interest. ETSC are partly financed by Toyota and Bosch, two companies that competes with Tesla in several ways.

In April, Tesla's Giga Shangai wholesale sales (local in China and exports) were 79,478 Model 3 and Model Y. 🇨🇳 This is +36.0% year-over-year and -7.2% month-over-month. Year-to-date is at +26.7% compared to last year.

In Europe*, 1.4k Tesla sales were reported for the week of April 27 to May 3. 🇪🇺 This is +26.3% WoW and +2.9% compared to the same week last year. This has been second best week of the quarter so far. The quarter after 5 weeks is +32.0% QoQ and +24.4% YoY. YTD sales are +16.6% year-over-year. The 117th TCMV meeting started in Brussels two hours ago. There will be a lunch break soon, after which the Netherlands will present and discuss Article 39 at 13:30 CET. After 18 months and 1 million miles of testing Tesla's FSD, the RDW will inform all EU countries of their test results in a one-hour presentation. This briefing is necessary in preparation for the vote to approve FSD across the EU without further testing in each individual country. The vote will take place at one of the next meetings, either at the end of June or the beginning of October. For a proposal to be approved in a vote, it must receive the support of at least 15 out of 27 countries, which collectively represent at least 65% of the EU's population. If the proposal is not approved in the vote for the whole EU, each country still has the option to adopt the RDW results and approve FSD for their own country.

The UK reported 831 Tesla sales and 0.6% market share in April.
