The @zama confidential RFQ has started trading in private beta with a handful of selected traders. Here is an example trade which is super cool: swapping a confidential steakcUSDC vault position for cUSDC. This allows you to effectively exit your vault position confidentially instantly, even if all the vault liquidity is currently lent.

Today, we reached a massive, game changing milestone for @zama : 1,000 confidential transfers per second on GPUs! This is up from 0.2 tps when we first demoed FHE smart contract at ETHcc in 2022, a 5,000x improvement in just 4 years. Running an FHE node now costs only about $0.000004 per ERC7984 transaction, orders of magnitude cheaper than ZK. This breakthrough is a combination of better cryptography, better engineering and better hardware, which compounded to create this super-exponential performance improvement. We are confident we will reach 10,000 tps by 2028 and 100k tps by 2030. 1,000 tps is also the milestone we needed to achieve to feel confident launching on faster chains than Ethereum where users expect low latency, high throughput and near-zero gas fees. This hasn’t been activated on mainnet yet, and is planned for EOY alongside some other massive features and overall improvements. FHE is basically solved when it comes to financial transactions onchain, and we can finally kill the old narrative that FHE is slow, because, well, it’s now SUPER FAST 🚀🚀🚀

Congrats on the launch! This is such a great use case, and solve a major pain point for anyone who needs to manage digital asset treasuries. Financial privacy onchain the same way we always had it offchain!

Blockscout has done an incredible job supporting confidential tokens and the Zama protocol. Not only can you see confidential transfers (without the amount!) in the block explorer just as natively as ERC20s, developers can now also keep track of their FHE HCU usage and finetune their applications!

And yet, the entire developing world is adopting the dollar thanks to USDT. This is the next petrodollar, it's so obvious to anyone who has been on the ground. I have not met a single person outside of europe who wants to keep their money or transact in euro. In fact, even european sartups are now raising in dollars, paying in dollars and invoicing in dollars, only using euros to pay taxes. Wake up europe!

Zama is now supported natively by the @OpenZeppelin relayer, making it easy for developer to start building confidential applications. Making confidentiality the new default onchain will require great tools and integrations across the ecosystem. This is our primary goal for 2026.
