If you really want your mind blown, measure the inches of flat screen tv you could purchase per Bitcoin starting in 2009.
Just bought a 32 inch flat screen television for my son’s dorm room. It cost $88. Flat screen televisions may be the greatest price success story in capitalistic history. They’re close to free now, but cost thousands of dollars a generation ago. Has any price fallen faster?

Bitcoin up almost 30% in 4 days.
This is why we preach hodling. Most gains come on just 10 days of the year.
If you miss the 10 best days bitcoin’s return has been negative 10 of the last 15 years.
And the best days often show up right next to the worst days. You don’t get to pick and choose.
So we hodl.

Saylor largely followed the suggestion I made below and delevered. This reduced the uncertainty of supply overhang and cleared the way for a new bull run.
The Fix? Deleveraging.
The cleanest way out is to sell a chunk of BTC now to secure years of dividend runway. Yes, it hurts the "never sell" narrative and pressures the current BTC price, but deleveraging is the most direct way to restore long-term market confidence.
I don't like this solution but I also don't like the amount of financial engineering involved. Over the long course of financial history, financial engineering rarely works out well.

Bitcoin always makes its comeback when no one is paying attention. When it has been written off for dead and speculative money has moved on to the next hot thing.
Bitcoin is the most reflexive asset on earth and it's a very common misconception that news and narratives drive price. Rather it is price that drives the narrative.
When Bitcoin emerges from its prolonged plateau, some new narrative will emerge to explain the rise of the Phoenix.
My guess is the new narrative will be that Bitcoin is money for AI. It is the only global source of liquidity that's 24/7, 365, decentralized, trust minimized and native to the Internet.
A lot of this narrative is legitimate but that doesn't even matter. The rise in price will drive a search for narratives to explain the rise. The truth is it's simply the beginning of a new Gartner hype cycle.

Another lesson is that you don't need to go anywhere to audit the supply of Bitcoin. You can do it from your own home for a few dollars. And that's one of the many reasons Bitcoin is superior to gold.
I have been asking to see the gold at Fort Knox since February of 2025. This week I finally went deep underground and looked for myself. Yes, the gold is there, roughly 147 million ounces.
The real lesson is not the gold itself. It is what happened to the dollar after 1971, when we severed it from gold. Over 85% of its value is gone. Gold does not expand when Congress spends. Paper money does.

an enormous amount of old BTC came online and moved onchain in 2024 and 2025, rivaled only by 2017
