11 years ago today, @ethereum went live. It did not look inevitable. It was unfinished, difficult to explain, and even harder to use. Its central idea was almost impossibly ambitious: a world computer, open to anyone and controlled by no single entity, where strangers could make and keep commitments without asking a company, bank, or government to stand between them. Then people started building. They experimented, argued over what Ethereum should become, broke things, fixed them, forked the network, upgraded it, and kept showing up through hacks and bear markets. Slowly, the experiment became something people could actually use. Through ICOs, founders raised money from people across the world. DeFi opened new ways to borrow, lend, and trade. NFTs gave artists and communities a new medium. Stablecoins allowed value to move across borders and around the clock. People who had never met could pool resources around a shared goal. Ethereum changed along the way. Proof of work became proof of stake. A single execution layer grew into an ecosystem of rollups. Experiments became infrastructure. Communities built institutions. Yet the most important things have stayed the same: openness, credible neutrality, permissionless innovation. Ethereum, the world computer For Safe, that history is personal. We are built on Ethereum, and we are still working on the same unfinished problem: making digital ownership usable, secure, and open to more people. At eleven, the most exciting part is not only how far Ethereum has come. It is how much of its original promise still lies ahead. Happy 11th birthday, Ethereum ⟠ To everyone who launched it, researches it, maintains it, secures it, and keeps building on it: thank you. The world computer is still running. We are still building. 🟢

$SAFE is the vehicle of alignment with the best in the ecosystem. @Velvet_Capital are the best among them!
Safenet moves transaction security from warnings to enforcement. Safe has processed $1.4T in cumulative value. For years, the security layer underneath crypto has relied on offchain heuristics, APIs, and UI warnings. Safenet replaces that with cryptographic attestations verified onchain before a transaction can execute. How it works: → a transaction is proposed → Safenet Validators check it against defined security rules → If it passes, they produce a cryptographic attestation → The Safe Guard verifies that attestation onchain → only then can it execute If a transaction does not satisfy the protocol’s requirements, it cannot execute by default. If the user still wants to proceed, they can do so with explicit additional owner approval after a delay. Self-custody is never removed. $SAFE now has its first live economic function beyond governance. Validators stake SAFE to run the network. Delegators back Validators and can earn rewards without running infrastructure. Safenet Beta is live. Stake today:

this is fantastic! SafeLens brings offline + ERC-7730 clear signing to Safe. No more blind signing risks on important txs. Fully offline and local. Builders like you make the ecosystem stronger! @Th0rgal_

Looks like you can do anything on @safe including animal welfare. What other cool things are y'all doing on Safe?

Crypto has spent years building better warnings. Warnings don't stop attacks. Safenet moves security into the execution path itself. Every transaction is checked against defined rules before it can execute, by a network no single party controls. This is what onchain security actually looks like.

Your wallet checked the transaction. The UI said it was safe. The funds still moved. @rimeissner of @safe breaks down why security can't live in the UI layer and what Safenet does to enforce it at the execution level at @EthCC 20 minutes that reframe what self-custody actually means.

$20B lost to hacks since 2017. Self-custody has been under relentless attack. As an industry, we need to level up defences. 🔊 Today, we introduce Safenet Beta🔰 A defence protocol for self-custody, powered by the $SAFE token. Onchain enforcement of security can protect users in ways that warnings simply cannot. Safenet is designed to protect users EVEN IF THEY SIGN BY MISTAKE 🧵
