The proposal for @GnosisChain to become the first instance of the @etheconomiczone is now live on Snapshot. Vote until August, 19th:
GIP-153 is live: the proposal for Gnosis Chain to become the first instance of the @etheconomiczone. What it proposes: > Gnosis Chain re-based onto Ethereum. Same chain, same addresses, xDAI stays the gas token > Every mainnet asset, pool and oracle one atomic call away, and future networks that join the zone after us > Settlement security from Ethereum's validators. Our validator set is sunset > The treasury staking subsidy ends; the network earns from fees instead. Vote:

In the programs run by @gnosispay, 54% of cardholders interact with the wallet 1.27 times a day. Interested? Book a demo:
Holding a balance is something users check. Spending one is something they do. That gap is the case for issuing a card. Top-ups, balance checks, transaction reviews: sessions you no longer have to pay to acquire. You keep the interchange. The program runs underneath it. In the programs we run, 54% of cardholders interact with the wallet 1.27 times a day.

Feels like strong tulip season ahead, doesn't it?
In the winter of 1636, Dutch traders were buying and selling tulip bulbs that were still in the ground: paper promises on flowers nobody had seen. The rarest bulbs changed hands for more than a craftsman earned in a decade. In February 1637 the bids stopped, and a tulip went back to being worth a tulip. Ever since, "tulip" has been the word people reach for whenever the financial system goes nuts. Jan Brueghel the Younger shown it first - painting the speculators as monkeys in merchant dress: one poring over a price list, a table heaped with coins, flowers trampled into the dirt.

Scaling Ethereum cost us composability. Turns out we can have both back. Friederike Ernst @tw_tter on the @etheconomiczone, real-time proving, and why most L2s are just a worse Ethereum. Listen to MetaMarkets pod by @JphFritsche 🎧

"Blockchains have solved scalability by introducing fragmentation," Dr. Friederike Ernst @tw_tter co-founder of @gnosis_ , joined me on MetaMarkets to talk about the fix: the Ethereum Economic Zone, where real-time proving makes transactions atomic across chains.

Everyone else is posting nothing this time. @aboutcircles hung a quince on a string and made it about monetary policy. Correct use of a slow week.
Germans call late July Sauregurkenzeit. The Dutch say komkommertijd. English once said cucumber time: the season when nothing happens and nothing is fresh. In 1602, Juan Sánchez Cotán hung a quince and a cabbage on strings in a cold, dark larder and painted them with the gravity of an altarpiece. The strings were not decoration. They were how you kept food through a season it could not survive on its own. We hang money up the same way, for the same reason. It never quite keeps, and we are rarely the ones who decide how fast it goes. Circles takes the other side of that bet. Money that fades a little when it sits still, because it was built to move, not to be stored.

Fragmentation is a design problem you can fix and the @etheconomiczone starts with a solution. Have a look at the fix.
Ethereum scaled by turning into hundreds of L2s. But it also split everything up: liquidity and users are scattered across chains, and they cross between them on bridges that cost time and money. The Ethereum Economic Zone starts from the opposite view: fragmentation is a design problem you can fix.

Not faster. Atomic. @soispoke on what the @etheconomiczone changes: one transaction spans L1 and an L2, and it lands on both sides or neither. @filoozom on why now: ZK teams prove blocks inside Ethereum's 12 seconds. That never existed before. Fireside: Ethereum Scalability vs. Fragmentation, co-hosted with @EFetheverywhere, as part of the Lisbon Ethereum Community Hub program.

Good to see @ethereuminsti properly off the ground. Let's together make Ethereum the foundational layer for institutional finance.
1/ We’re excited to announce the close of @ethereuminsti's initial ecosystem funding round and supporter coalition, with broad participation and support from individuals and entities focused on driving institutional adoption of @ethereum. Our ecosystem funding round is anchored by @BitMNR, @Sharplink, Ethereum co‑founders @ethereumJoseph , and @MihaiAlisie, alongside a larger group of individuals and crypto‑native institutions.

Track records over claims. This is the standard the whole space should be held to. Nice to see it coming from a team that started in our foundry.
Everyone's reaching for the multisig standard title. @safe already holds it. More than $60B in onchain assets, institutions such as @aave @maplefinance @gnosis_ @ensdomains & @Uniswap are managing their treasuries with Safe. We don't make claims. We build track records.
