Acer chairman Jason Chen expects PC prices to rise 5% to 20% in Q4 2026, even as memory shortages ease.
He says DDR4 and DDR5 supplies are ample, but memory and SSD prices remain high. Models with more RAM or higher-capacity SSDs could see steeper price increases.
Chen expects average selling prices for PCs to peak around mid-2027 and says they could start falling in the second half.
