a fun one to make the "stop making the tui into a gui" people mad
in the latest build of opencode2 you can turn on image previews
the average OpenCode Go user spent $1.14 per day on deepseek flash v4 this past week
the dual DGX setup people are running to do the same costs $10,000
it takes 24 years to break even
at 10x the usage it takes 2.4 years

opencode2 has tool search and codemode built in
this means it can handle infinite mcps, custom tools, apis, etc
and it's the simplest implementation we've seen
ryan cranked out a web version of rebase in a day thank you opencode
native apps suck, fuck apple, web supremacy, go freedom, down with tim apple
see you in 5 hours at 3pm EST
Show more
we've seen more deepseek traffic than anyone over the past 48 hours
this comes from all kinds of clients not just OpenCode so we have some interesting data
here's cache hit ratio - idk what zcode is but it's kicking ass

web search got a lot better
on the upcoming deepseek price increase
we've been able to reproduce their current prices even on rented GPUs
so this likely isn't because they're "losing money" it's traffic shaping because they are overloaded

@operatorloo we've been able to reproduce deepseek's token cost on rented GPUs
the next game of REBASE will be this friday
it's available to everybody in every country on Android as well as iOS
go download it and make your lil cube guy
people want to dunk on this by saying their weekend harness does better on some dumb one shot benchmark
but at scale this is true. these tools are complicated and must factor in user behavior. you do not even understand what this means unless you have a huge user base sending you data
all of that gets sent as feedback to the model which gets trained into specific behavior
i think the part that's misrepresented though is it's extremely easy to recreate the exact same environment
there nothing hidden in the harness, you can observe it all and recreate it. bit tedious to keep up with it but not hard
so ultimately even if they're right it's not defensible

Okay the
@opencode v2 is sick - just made a plugin that can open a browser inside your opencode tui instance
I'm continuing to play around with live-editable TUI plugins.
Now they don't lose state.
i hate west coast time zone i wake up and everything already happened
ok this was a good experiment. tabs in opencode are amazing
can turn it on in settings in opencode2
our team isn't the smartest but they sure are dumb
guess what we're doing with this

so many people complaining about the code the LLMs produce, if you're not producing the best software of your life right now something is wrong
Show more
now everyone gets to complain about how LLMs don't write good code like they're someone who even knows what that is
this pacing the frontier letter is hilarious because these people act so intellectual and beyond base human behaviors
but clearly it's the classic signing a letter dynamics where everyone wants to seem like they're important next to the other important people
