A couple wireless vehicle charging @Tesla patents have been published.
• Patent 1: Temperature sensors and applications in wireless charging Temperature Sensors. Basically sensors in the pad that detect objects heating up and automatically cut power.
• Patent 2: Wireless charging circuit topology and related methods of manufacturing. Basically one vehicle pad design that works for both 400V and 800V batteries - no extra converter needed.
These were originally filed in 2024, but have just been published. Hope we actually see this wireless charging pad rolled out soon.
