Hypersonic missiles are a great deterrent, but they aren't built fast enough today. Rapid development schedules and affordable, mass-produced long-range strike are key to deterring future conflicts.

Recently, our Co-Founder and CEO @hargsb met with @SenatorLujan to give an update on Project Ranger, our 1,000-acre hypersonic manufacturing facility in New Mexico. We're on track to provide 300 high-paying jobs and over $650 million in economic output to the state. We are grateful for New Mexico's leadership as we work to build America's new arsenal.

We are excited to welcome Alec Johnson to Castelion as our Vice President of Government Affairs. In this role, he leads engagement with Congress, @DeptofWar, and the national security policy community to advance American deterrence. He focuses on aligning Castelion’s hypersonic strike programs with defense policy, congressional funding, and acquisition pathways needed to field affordable hypersonic weapons at scale. He previously served as a Senior Director at Applied Intuition, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the Navy, Director for Legislative Affairs at the National Security Council, Senior Defense Policy Advisor in the U.S. Senate, and on the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense. He also spent eight years as a Navy Reserve Intelligence Officer.

The Navy's order is validation that Blackbeard is the ideal balance of capability, cost, and manufacturing scale. Proud of the hard work the team has put in to get to this point and recognize the hard work and improvements still to come. We're proud to share the @USNavy has awarded Castelion a $23.4M fixed-price order for 50 Blackbeard Hypersonic weapons, our first delivery order for the program. The award marks an important step in Blackbeard's transition from development and flight testing toward operationally relevant production.
