Behold, the face of Flock opposition
Flock has a story to tell. It should tell the story. There should be a balance between privacy and security. I suspect if we had more trust in society, we would have less opposition to Flock. I would also note the loudest voices against Flock are the ones who want to abolish prisons. I would prefer we rapidly round up the bad guys and put them in the prisons. So, I would prefer it if we do not scrap a tool that, just this year, rescued dozens of kids and helped police solve dozens of crimes.

What a disingenuous framing of the actual article
The statistics aren't made up, they're sourced, you can check them yourself.
But the idea here — that one false arrest is more important than 1,600 criminals apprehended — is a form of anarchism.

-I listened to the Flock CEO on the @theallinpod, he said Flock only records license plates. That won't convict anyone, there must be other proof.

Brave of Erick to wade in here, but glad someone is speaking out for the tens of thousands of people whose lives have been made better by ALPRs.
I have written a small defense of Flock cameras. I know someone whose child was kidnapped and recovered unharmed within hours due to Flock.
The Erlichman quote, if not made up entirely, is very clearly not reliable.

We have to ban intoxicating hemp in order to legalize marijuana.
The hemp maggots and their loophole weed have been lobbying against state-regulated cannabis legalization.
You can see how Big Alcohol couldn’t enter the cannabis space in a dispensary regulated market.
Now they want a THC weed drink carveout under the guise of HEMP.
The hemp maggots and the special interests that have opposed cannabis legalization now want to cash in, but do it outside of the state-regulated cannabis programs.
