It's become clear to me the most optimal way to implement AI into your life is to avoid getting dogmatic about any one company. With how fast things move and change, I'm confident this is the optimal approach at least for now and the foreseeable future Have accounts set up for all of the main platforms (Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude) and then any sub-apps like Grok Bot, Muse etc. As the model leaders change every month, you can simply start and stop subscriptions as you see fit for your workflows Example: I haven't been using Claude much the past few months, but when Opus 5.5 dropped I switched on my subscription, dropped in my most recent MD files and in minutes was up and running testing out the latest model to see how it does with the work I do most The most critical piece is developing a system (MD files, Notion, Obsidian, GitHub) where you can easily manage, maintain and update all of your projects from any platform so you can easily pick up right where you left off. I'm experimenting with all of them, but the easiest path is likely a group of MD files with all of the most important information about you and your business/projects you can drop into any platform It's a bit of work up front if you haven't set these accounts up yet, but it's worth it in the long run not just to have options, but in the process you will likely find the models and tools that best suit your needs. As I keep saying benchmarks are fine, but until you use these tools for YOUR use case, you can't know how they will perform for you

Does anyone else at times miss the Tesla-era that was the Munro Live teardowns? It felt like every month we got to learn about all of this new engineering magic Tesla was applying to its vehicles, showing off its "Tesla speed" and continually dunking on legacy auto exposing its inefficiencies and outdated designs It was long before Tesla (unfairly) got dragged into politics and each production and delivery report was like Christmas because for a few years there Tesla was just smashing expectations and then subsequently crushing earnings This present era feels like a black box compared to that. We get so little information from Tesla now about anything I've said before this present epoch won't last and things will pick up again at some point, but I will always look back fondly on that season of Tesla $TSLA

In our data driven culture, the internet will likely convince you that if you're not trading in and out of stocks, using margin or using derivatives that you're leaving something on the table Let me say this with the ultimate conviction - this could NOT be any further from the truth. It is still a completely viable stategy to continually buy stock in high quality companies over 20 years and do nothing but wait (assuming that company continues to innovate and execute) I have nothing against anyone using the aforementioned tactics, but don't ever let yourself feel like you're missing out by not doing more than DCAing. It's still effective to be "boring" and just buy and hold. And yes, this includes through periods where $TSLA stock moves sideways for five years Could you have made more elsewhere? Maybe. But will you also still end up doing great if you just kept buying during that time and you hold those shares for another 5-10 years? Absolutely It's still cool to think about investing in terms of decades, not months. Your mental health will also likely be much better taking the simple, proven approach to building wealth where you're not a slave to every news cycle

The reason Grok 4.7 is important isn't because of any benchmark score - that's all irrelevant to the average person I've been using Grok 4.6 in Cursor for most of my work the past few weeks on the Ultra plan ($200/month). I've built 4 websites, maintained 3 dashboards, done nearly all of my daily research and a handful of other projects with it and never once got close to hitting any usage limits In the past two weeks I wanted to try GPT 6 Astra inside Codex. I'm on the Pro plan 5x ($100/month) because the 20x ($200/month) isn't available. I literally just edited a website for a weekend and ran ~4 research projects. I hit my weekly usage limit in two days You can argue all you want about proper use case for a model, but 95% of people will not need extreme capability from these models, they just want something fast, accurate and efficient. So far, Grok 4.6 has been excellent in this regard for me. Excited to see what 4.7 can do

I actually agree with Farzad in that I have my doubts about how fast we will see Tesla's geofenced areas scale. Dave's argument that the next-gen Tesla vehicles will be like the Cybercab (no wheels and no pedals) makes complete sense and I agree that after the Roadster Tesla is done with wheels and pedals, but to me it seems the limiting factor will be how fast that type of vehicle can be taken anywhere in the US without restrictions Even if the federal framework for AVs gets passed and signed into law in 2028, Tesla would still need to be ready to take full legal responsibility for selling a vehicle like the Cybercab to a customer. And for Tesla to do that confidently for an autonomous car that is legally allowed to go anywhere in the country, in any weather conditions, that seems like it's still pretty far off Let's say we exit 2027 with Tesla's Robotaxi service operating in 25 states. How many people would want to buy a next-gen Tesla that they can only take through 50% of the country? We can reasonably assume that if Tesla does not have a Robotaxi geofence established and live, it's not going to allow Unsupervised to operate outside of those locations. They need to have enough data to be confident in the edge cases, ensuring weird intersections are nailed down to a level where they're ready to take full responsibility I'm still hopeful that the pace of expansion meaningfully picks up later this year with FSD V15, but there's no way around the fact Tesla still needs to validate each city. Elon just said it on the Q1 call this year. He said Tesla would release Unsupervised gradually to the customer fleet as we feel like a particular geography is confirmed to be safe He said it's hard to roll out everywhere at once because of city specific edge cases, complex intersections, bad road markings, weather and so on And of course the time for Tesla to validate each new city will continually come down as the software improves, and I am optimistic V15 is going to meaningfully change the conversation by mid-2027, but until then I'm keeping my expectations in check I also happen to believe it's going to take A LOT of convincing the general population to buy a Tesla without wheels and pedals when many still have basic concerns like how charging works (which yes is still a thing if you haven't interacted outside the Tesla bubble lately). Convincing them to take a ride in a Robotaxi is one thing, getting them to buy one as their primary vehicle with all of the questions about operational domains, weather, parking/garages and the "what if" thoughts is an entirely separate thing And Dave is right that Tesla has flexibility in that it doesn't need the Cybercab line operating at full capacity, but if Tesla were to release next-gen models that were also restricted, paired with the Cybertruck not meeting expectations, that would certainly not be an ideal set up for the remainder of the 2020s $TSLA

When I started Electrified, $TSLA was worth ~$60B and SpaceX was valued ~$35B It can feel like day to day things aren't moving and progress is slower than we'd like But another few years from now, we will look back and be in awe of how much has changed. When in doubt, zoom out

To everyone that STILL thinks Tesla and SpaceX won't merge - think about this IF Elon's plan really was to keep them separate, when asked point blank why the two companies are still separate - why wouldn't he have just answered the question? It would have been a perfect time to put the rumors to bed so everyone can be on the same page and move forward, beyond the speculation But that's obviously not what happened. Paired with all of the hints he and the team have dropped over the past year (to warm everyone up to the idea), it's obvious that the intention is to merge the two companies The vote is a separate matter, but all shareholders should be preparing for a vote. I hope it's sooner rather than later, and there's at least a chance the fact Tesla's annual shareholder meeting announcement this year still hasn't been released (never been this late over the past 5+) is a sign the teams are working on the details and the proposal
