I have a nagging thought that this + creating long term narrative about trading being easy and everybody should be doing it will create bull run that will hurt more people than ever before Trading is one of the most demanding things to do ever. Creating an illusion of the opposite on purpose is pure evil and we all know where it goes. Normies will be fkd hard so just don't mention crypto to your normie friends so you don't get hit by ricochet.

The social trading meta around FOMO and PUMP right now is really interesting. A lot of these accounts are basically playing a weird version of the prisoner’s dilemma. They’re up enormous amounts of UPNL, while their main doxxed wallets are completely transparent for everyone to watch. There will absolutely be winners here that eventually get listed on venues with much deeper liquidity. But at current liquidity, a lot of these positions simply cannot be exited anywhere near the price they’re marked at. Some of the PNL you’re seeing could realistically be 3–4x what could actually be realized if someone tried to get out. And once everyone knows that, the game becomes pretty interesting. Also, shout out to @theunipcs. True talent at this game. Midas touch at this point.

Don't you guys love these retards that HAVE TO reply before they block you? That loser mentality to enforce the last word because they can't just leave the convo. Their little ego still needs to show it "won" smh

Shopify billionaire co-founder & CEO Tobi Lütke — one of the most analytically rigorous founders alive — uses affirmations. His exact words: "If you tell yourself or write down something about yourself 100 times, it writes into the neurofrontal cortex at such a deep level that your brain will start reconciling you to that. It just works." His personal example: He was terrified of public speaking. For one week he sat down every day for 10 minutes and wrote: "I love public speaking." A week later the fear was gone. "It's not like a placebo. You just actively change your neurofrontal cortex in this moment." Your brain starts shaping your behavior around the identity you rehearse most.

Of course, couldn't help creating a 🇨🇭 Swiss version of the wallpaper in the same style!
Good article. Big AI companies feed us with adoption rates while in reality it's still rookie numbers. My thesis is they all do that to make more money on the stocks they have, perception is everything in this market

Can relate in a way that I'm also a trackpad guy Omarchy is keyboard-first. Mouse is what made computers so popular. I think one of the biggest things for @dhh to do is to make keyboard-first OS as easy as mouse-first OS's. I.e. when I opened manual on Omarchy I had to think for a second how to scroll it without trackpad and realized there are arrow keys (and some old keys like PageUp and PageDown that also works lol). Maybe some interactive onboarding tour instead of static manual? When I followed manual for using tiling for the first time at one point task manager prevented me from reading further so had to figure out how to close it. Instead, would love to have it like in the games where you have quests - make it an adventure when the excitement is the highest (at the beginning)! That way it will be much more fun and interactive to learn the ropes of the new (for many) paradigm where keyboard is the main force.

Good post
There’s something powerful about seeing someone and thinking, “If that guy can do it, I can do it too.” More than 12 years ago, I was selling exotic cars to affiliate marketers. I assumed they were all computer hacker geniuses. I can barely turn my laptop on most days, so I figured this world wasn’t for me and stayed in my lane. Then one day, a guy walked into my office who was so dumb I’m not sure he could string two logical sentences together. I remember thinking “If this guy can do it, I can definitely do it.” That single thought changed the trajectory of my entire life. I pivoted, dove in headfirst, and figured it out as I went (I had the help of an amazing mentor named Dave) Last night, I was at a private e-commerce event and met a guy doing more than a billion dollars a year in sales. He’s relatively “new” to e-commerce, only five years in. I asked how he got started. He told me he saw a YouTube video of some guy doing massive numbers and thought, “If that guy can do it, I can do it too.” So he pivoted, dove in headfirst, and figured it out as he went. Now let me be that guy for someone else. I’m legitimately not smart. I’m technologically illiterate. I’m impulsive, impatient, disorganized, stubborn, and I have a wild temper. I’ve made nearly every mistake possible and invented a few new ones along the way. But somehow, I’m still doing it. You do not have to be the smartest person in the room. You just have to be willing to enter the room, get embarrassed, make mistakes, and stay long enough to figure it out. If I can do it, you can do it too. It’s that simple.

Alrighty, went out of my way and bought an usb drive just for Omarchy. So far: - flashing usb stick with iso took ~10 min on M1 (USB3) - reading about how to install ~3 min - installation itself took 2m 54s to install (HP ProBook 430 G4, i7-7500U, 8GB) Pretty much 15 min all-in-all when you have USB stick around. At first I was surprised that Chrome is by default (why), but quickly found out that I can install Brave straight from Omarchy Menu (sleek). What I also like is that out of 8gb it's idling on 1.6gb so plenty of room for agents (+ btrfs filesystem will multiply the speed). Later will go through manual, but knowing my car habits I will just find it all out by myself, welp Great way to give your oldie a new life!

The more I read his stuff the more I think of making some kind of sites about only quality shit like I'm sooooooooo tired of everyone lying and the unsureness everywhere: - is this landlord easy going? won't he fug me up? - will this hotel make sure I'm gonna sleep like a baby? - is this restaurant legit or I will overpay in money or time-in-toilet? - what quality stuff is worth the money? - what's value-for-money? - what are the priorities when it comes to unshittificating my life? - actual 100% natural stuff/clothes And all of it updated constantly so if something goes out of line it's known Man, so many things to fix in this world

This is pretty much most of my friend's Airbnb stories I have no clue what @bchesky is doing every day He could stop removing negative reviews on Airbnb to make it better When people stop believing in Airbnb listings credibility, it creates such an anxiety around booking because you simply don't know if you will have an experience like the QT below And people will just go book elsewhere for more certainty, as I did We live in the time of honesty and transparency so Airbnb is literally off trend

After my last trip I decided I will either get rich and use only hotels listed on levelsio's hotel list or I just stay at home. The place where you stay is a BIG part of the experience. Private owners tend to be very humorous, gaslighting, ego maniacs etc. In a proper hotel there is staff, protocols, 24/7 reception that can help you solve issues. Now that I'm reading these I'm like "it's not for my nerves and also no point in paying for future problems". I'd rather stay home where I can solve problems or just get rich and fk off to the place that will actually let me rest. Can't wait to have opportunity to use next time (and yeah, 4 stars is like minimum)

My last Airbnb booking went so crazy that Airbnb deleted our review of her but kept her negative review of us She was mentally insane and threatening us so we mentioned that in the review, but that's "offensive" 😂

Asked it to go fk itself and it still replies. @RamXBT just so you see how low the bar is. My god, a guys with 600k followers says that liquidations caused by a pump will make a dump. Brother, do you know how this thing works for sure? Shorts being liq'd = forced buys = propelling the pump
Show more
I wanted to give you a tip: when, after a significant pump, you see a flash dump caused by liquidations — like the one yesterday — an excellent spot buying opportunity often arises. The risk is very simple to manage: invalidation only comes with a daily close below the low of the flash dump candle. This way you have a contained risk and a very interesting potential risk/reward ratio. Don't be put off by the violence of the move: that's often precisely where the best trade comes from. The only challenge is being present and clear-headed when it happens.

Interesting how this one video might actually cost Apple so much. Timing it with the @OmarchyLinux growing popularity it gives an explosive mixture of emotions that will fuel many to switch over. I never understood filesystems importance before that. Now that I do (even tho I skipped at times) it made me think. Last week was looking for new Mac. This week I'm wondering about using it just as a client to Linux workspace to have efficiency. If @dhh will pull off mobile OS this will probably make me switch the whole eco. Interesting times ahead, Linux is the biggest surprise for me of this year so far.

Your Mac is slowing you down. Moving to Linux has exponentially improved performance for my agents, in particular on the file system side.

I've always gotten the unshakeable sense that in the end, it all evens out. The guy with a six-figure salary in a nice neighborhood must deal with the boss -- but he gets a comfy life. The broke guy in an isolated village may be poor -- but his pace of life is relaxing, he fishes a lot, is never in a rush, etc. Basically add up any configuration of lifestyle stresses and benefits, total it up, and examine its inverse -- and the net amount of benefit and stress will wind up being the same in the end. There's not really any "getting ahead" so much as there is "choosing whatever schema of problems and enjoyments you'd most enjoy." Ever since this dawned on me it's really made life seem a little more playful. It's opened up the playing field mentally. Every choice I could make is just another, new configuration of stress and rewards, ultimately not better or worse than my own -- just different.
