So close. 5-4 decision favoring birthplace citizenship. Pres. Trump should immediately amend his EO to apply to U.S. Territories which are not auto-bound by the 14th Amendment. Trump should keep pushing the issue wherever he can and force the court to reckon with the logic of its decision. Will they overrule the insular cases next?

Dual incomers report better financial security, but each 1% increase results in only a 0.6% increase in their kids’ well being. While each 1% sacrifice in finances from moms raising kids at home leads to a 2% increase in child well being. Everybody knows this tradeoff intuitively, but this gives a clear sense of the magnitude (i.e. it’s huge).
