11/ "taste" is not a moat against AI
12/ "how you do anything is how you do everything" is nonsense
Are you that stupid that you can't figure out which things are worth putting your effort into?
13/ Most people say they "learn" from failure. If you ask them what they learned, you'll learn that they didn't learn the right lesson.
14/ I forgot who said this but I loved it: "the world is not intelligence gated. It's energy gated and courage gated"
15/ Mimetic desire and memetic rivalry explain 50% of my life-worsening-behaviors. Probably yours too.
16/ Bryan Johnson is the savviest social media creator in the world
17/ Listening to books or podcasts on 1.5x+ speed is like saving sex for old age. It just doesn't make much sense given the nature of the activity.
18/ Many of the most influential people in podcasting are dudes who are single and childless. That's probably going to have weird consequences.
19/ Making money, investing money, and spending money are 3 independent skillsets. But skill in one leads to foolish confidence in the other 2 areas.

Almost all “yea but AI can’t do ______” statements just smell like cope to me
Especially ‘creativity’
I saw a post on Reddit today about AI that said, “AI is data, and data can only look backwards. Creativity looks forwards.” And I genuinely need to sit with the weight of that for a while.
I have no loyalty to any AI. I am a AI whore.
If a new AI comes out offering me 10% more, it can have it's way with me
It’s ok guys the country is only forty trillion in debt
we need a DOGE-like department but just for replacing American phrases with cooler phrases from other languages every 4 years
invited 9 founders to pitch us in SF
we gave them 15 minutes, they gave us:
- their big number (revenue, etc)
- one problem they’re stuck on
- we try to solve it live

The first stock I ever bought was the only company I’d heard of selling for under $5 a share. I stupidly believed that if I bought more shares, I’d make more money if it went up.
It was about to go bankrupt, but another company acquired it and it tripled in price. I thought, "I like this game—it must be easy." Look at the Wall Street Journal with thousands of stocks; surely I can just pick one or two that go up!
That's how I got started. It didn't take long to realize the game wasn't easy at all—but by then, I was completely hooked.

Finding out your competitor’s ceo is trying to build their ‘personal brand’
Tom Brady says he was shocked by Peyton Manning’s breakfast when they worked out: pancakes, bacon, sausages and biscuits with gravy
“I called Peyton. It was the offseason. ‘Let's me and you get together. I've learned from all the other quarterback coaches. Why don't me and you sit down and talk football for three days?’”
“He's like, ‘Let's do it. Come to my place in Tennessee.’ I fly down to Tennessee. We work out together. We play golf together. We ride jet skis together at his house. And we of course are eating meals”
“We sit down for breakfast and they're like, ‘Mr. Brady, what do you want to eat,’ I'm like ‘I'll take oatmeal, two scrambled eggs and that's it’”
