The 1930’s have gotten another upgrade:
Like @nytimes & @NewYorker NY Mag has become a complete anti-Jew hate machine purposefully spreading blatant and easily debunked lies about Jewish personhood. As we read how mainstream European media turned on Jews in the 30s, so too will we one day read of NYMag in history books

How many people do these Rabbis actually represent? Last time we checked the leader of the largest Hasidic sect denounced the Zionist attempts to defame the Mayor based on his policies on a foreign government.

Mamdani heard a clear message when he invited rabbis from various Jewish denominations to City Hall to advise him on combating antisemitism. It was a rare consensus that his public statements denouncing Israel are hurting Jewish New Yorkers.

Either a sly comedian or some Hasbara teenager running this account:
If you aren’t Jewish, you can’t comment on the affairs of Israel. You don’t understand the 3000 years of pain it took to get us here.
Begs the question why the NYT didn’t report on the leader of the largest Hasidic sect in the world denouncing Zionists for defaming the Mayor:
The NYT just published an entire article on rabbis trying to get Mamdani to “tone down” his criticism of Israel. So the scandal is Mamdani talking about Israel’s genocide in Gaza, not the genocide itself?

This is what Israeli enthusiasts are aiming for, both subtly and overtly:
@BarakMendelsohn Since Zionism is part of Judaism, people can now blame all Jews for anything Israel does.
Zionism to be treated as inherent to Jewish identity is in fact a dangerous infringement on religious liberty.
More details about the Haverford College antisemitism settlement: 1. Zionism is treated as an element of Jewish identity, not merely a political position. Total prohibition on discriminating against Zionists and Israelis, not just prohibition the traditional Jew hatred; 1/5

Spare us the copious crocodile tears, @HikindDov. We wouldn’t expect or be so much as interested in you grasping elementary concepts, such as not publicly demonizing our Mayor as a “hater of Jews” because Zionists are unhappy with his opposition to a foreign country. Oh, and about our holy Rebbe, you’re missing 2 key facts: 1. Rudolf Kastner did not save the Rebbe from the Holocaust. It was Chaim Roth and other activists in Budapest who secured the Rebbe’s safe passage for an enormous fee. 2. The Rebbe made it his mission to inform the nations that Judaism and Zionism are completely opposite. Here are his sacred words to carry out this critical task. We’d be glad to chat with you, Dov. If only you’d have the guts to unblock us.

The Satmar Rebbe, the great Rabbeinu Yoel Teitelbaum of blessed memory, rose from the scarred ashes of the Holocaust furnace to painstakingly reestablish Jewish life in America. The Rebbe, in his far-reaching vision, understood the grave ramifications that Zionism would cause for the Jewish people. He made it his life’s mission to inculcate in his thousands of followers the evil dangers of this GDless movement. The holy Rebbe commanded that it is our sacred duty to call out the Zionists’ misleading claims of being representatives of Jews or of Israel being a Jewish state. We are proud to continue carrying the Rebbe’s torch of truth and unconditional loyalty to Hashem’s Torah, no matter the cost. In the Rebbe’s holy words: “It is a serious danger to the Jewish people if we point to those who do not keep the Torah and deny Hashem and call them the leaders of the Jewish people. All the nations are thereby misled to think that they speak in the name of Jewry, and thus they are transformed into anti-Semites. And really, if it were possible, even at the risk of our lives, to let the nations of the world know that these wicked men are not the representatives of the Jewish people, and have no connection with them, it would be one of the biggest mitzvos to do so!” זכותו הגדול יגן עלינו

This rabbinical dynasty, with the Grand Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of blessed memory at its helm, detected the greatest and most pernicious antisemites who would endanger the Jewish people across the globe. You guessed correctly: It’s Israel’s leaders and their Zionist cohorts:

This is a rabbinical dynasty that has been unable to detect an antisemite for over 80 years. They said the same thing about emigrating from Hungary when the Nazis took over (while the grand rabbi himself skipped town) so I wouldn’t take their advice.

New article: Satmar Grand Rabbi Denounces Efforts to Brand Mayor Mamdani an Antisemite: "Last night, the Grand Rabbi of Satmar, Rabbi Zalmen Leib Teitelbaum, issued a severe denunciation against the select few in Jewish circles who are aiding efforts by Zionist organizations to stir resentment in NYC by branding Mayor Mamdani as an antisemite for his stance against the Israeli government. The Rabbi went as far as to request that his thousands of followers not read various publications that play an illicit political game by brandishing the antisemite sword against our Mayor." FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SATMAR GRAND REBBE CONDEMNS INCITEMENT AGAINST MAYOR MAMDANI Rabbi Zalman Leib Teitelbaum warns against branding the mayor an antisemite and urges observant Jews to follow the Torah’s guidance for life in exile NEW YORK — August 9, 2026 — Grand Rebbe of @SatmarHQ Rabbi Zalman Leib Teitelbaum strongly condemned the campaign of attacks against New York City .@NYCMayor @ZohranKMamdani during his major annual address marking the yahrzeit—the anniversary of a person’s passing as observed on the Jewish calendar—of Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum, the founding Grand Rebbe of Satmar. Addressing one of the largest and most significant annual gatherings of the Satmar community, the Grand Rebbe warned that the rhetoric being directed against Mayor Mamdani by members of the Jewish community violates the traditional Torah approach to relations with government and risks dangerously provoking hostility toward Jews. “Recently, we have witnessed a terrible provocation against the nations by heimishe Yidden—through the incitement against the Mayor of New York City,” the Grand Rebbe declared. Invoking the Prophet Jeremiah’s instruction to the Jewish people to seek the peace of the city in which they live and to pray on its behalf, the Grand Rebbe emphasized that observant Jews must conduct themselves according to the Torah’s guidance for Jewish life in exile. “We must remember that we are in exile,” he said. “The Prophet Jeremiah instructed the Jewish people: ‘Seek the peace of the city to which I have exiled you, and pray to Hashem on its behalf.’ An observant Jew must follow the Torah’s path and accept the decree of exile.” The Grand Rebbe specifically condemned efforts to denounce Mayor Mamdani and brand him an antisemite. “To denounce the mayor and brand him an antisemite constitutes a true provocation against the nations,” he said. “As though the provocation against the nations taking place in Eretz Yisroel were not enough, they are now bringing it here to the United States as well.” He concluded by urging Jewish families to guard their homes against publications and messages influenced by Zionist ideology. The remarks were delivered on the 47th yahrzeit of Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum, who reestablished the Satmar community in the United States following the Holocaust and became one of the most influential Orthodox Jewish leaders of the twentieth century. Opposition to Zionism and adherence to the traditional Torah principles governing Jewish life in exile were central foundations of his teachings. The Grand Rebbe’s address represents one of the clearest and most forceful condemnations to date of the attacks directed at Mayor Mamdani from within segments of the Orthodox Jewish community.

Zionists “care so much” about Jews that they have no shame manipulating them to flee to the their terror ridden, unstable, war torn country. Tough love isn’t it?

American Jews are Americans. What identifies us as Jews is not shared culture or ethnicity but only religion:
The @APA's decision to delay recognizing the Association of Jewish Psychologists, for the second time this year, serves no purpose and has no justification. Jewish identity encompasses religion, ethnicity and culture. Dismissing that complexity to deny Jewish psychologists the same representation afforded to every other ethnic minority group is both factually wrong and a clear double standard. The Council's job was to evaluate AJP's eligibility under its own bylaws, not to referee political disagreements or impose ideological litmus tests on a Jewish professional organization.
