i think you could make 200k a year with a sleep room in sf that is that is allergy free, dustmite free, mold free, complete dark, completely quiet, with adjustable temperature, humidity, & firmness

i have always felt openai taking safety where it matters very seriously
i trust sam & team a lot on this
We have paused some frontier RL training to ensure that we can meet the appropriate alignment, security and monitoring standards for the new level of capabilities in front of us. Model progress is now extremely rapid, and we always said we would take action if we felt that model capabilities were outstripping the pace of safety and alignment.
We care very deeply about AI safety. We believe the entire field will have to coordinate on shared safety standards, but will act unilaterally in the meantime.
We expect confidence in safety to increasingly set the pace of AI progress. We are optimistic about the alignment work we are doing, and we remain committed to making frontier capabilities widely available.

One of the things I most respect about OpenAI is how (relatively) little it constrains employee voices. OpenAI employees can post whatever they want, argue with one another on X, and shape discourse more publicly. I wish other labs would allow the same for their employees

1. how different everyones work is
2. how much time it takes to understand what another person is doing for work
there are literally no complex tasks that feel relatable to more than like 2% of people, except personal ones like tax
