Joby Aviation says a converted Cessna Caravan fitted with its autonomy system has completed the first fully autonomous flight across the United States, covering 3,199 miles from Concord, California to North Carolina's Outer Banks. The aircraft taxied, took off, navigated and landed itself at every stop, while the onboard safety pilot made zero control inputs.

✅ 2,323 miles: the farthest distance the aircraft was supervised from
✅ 100% of taxi, takeoff, cruise, and landing performed autonomously
✅ 1 month-long transcontinental tour, eastbound leg complete
Along the way, the J208 integrated into the nation's busiest general aviation airport at Deer Valley and altered its mission plan in real time for changing weather.
