This is a huge one for @moonpay in Europe. We just received our EMI license from the Dutch Central Bank! 🇳🇱 The license materially expands what we can build across the region: → Payment accounts and services for consumers and businesses → Euro-denominated stablecoin issuance → New payment and card products We are now the third Netherlands-based company to hold both a MiCA CASP authorization and an EMI license within the same entity - and the first to combine both with open-loop stablecoin issuance capabilities. Following our MiCA authorization in 2024, this gives us one of the strongest regulated foundations for building payments and stablecoin infrastructure in Europe. Super excited for what's ahead!

Every time I do pitches, I realize what a killer virtual account stack we have built at @moonpay Direct bank connectivity running on our own licenses, with a reliance model into our partner banks. One connection into virtual accounts in USD, EUR, GBP, BRL, MXN, COP, and ARS. Local instant payment rails. SWIFT support. Named in an out. No manual per-rail payment ops. No varying onboarding standards per bank. And all of this paired with a beautiful developer experience. Many partners initially consider integrating with banks directly. Then they realize the pain of managing a multi-bank network: different APIs, different compliance requirements, onerous reporting obligations, and more operational complexity with every bank they add. And all of this with a single commercial plan, not stacked minimums / setup fees. Need any of the rails above? Ping me.

We're partnering with @PayPal to launch #PYUSDx# to bring application specific stablecoins to the world. What if launching your own stablecoin didn’t require building a stablecoin from scratch? That’s the idea behind #PYUSDx# - now live. Built with @moonpay, @m0, and @PayPal, PYUSDx lets developers create application-specific stablecoins backed by solana:2b1kV6DkPAnxd5ixfnxCpjxmKwqjjaYmCZfHsFu24GXo, while inheriting the monetary infrastructure underneath. Builders can focus on what actually differentiates their stablecoin - distribution, utility, economics, and the experience around it. And it’s already being put to work. @USDai_Official is one of the first builders using PYUSDx to create stablecoin infrastructure purpose-built for the AI economy. Stablecoins are becoming increasingly specialized. The infrastructure underneath them shouldn’t have to be rebuilt every time. Want to learn more, DM me.

A few notes on the launch of PayBox. The first real crypto ux breakthrough was browser extensions. They were not perfect initially (odd ux until recently with side panels) but they brought signing to the dominant runtime: web browsers. Dominant as in it’s where most user activity was done. Second was mobile but app switching between browser and signer didn’t always work well and we had to put a browser (the dominant runtime) inside the signing app / wallet. The UX improved to a point that most day to day retail signing today happens on mobile. The third one I think will be the PayBox model (that we just shipped at @moonpay): embed signing into the emerging dominant runtime: LLM chats. It’s simpler UI with the familiar chat interface driven by user intents and guardrails. This is not the final form but possibly the beginning of a new shift in signing ux because there is a new dominant runtime.

Over the past week, we've spoken with more companies looking for a new infrastructure partner than at any other point this year. The reason is simple: MiCA. As enforcement takes effect across Europe, many businesses are rethinking the providers they rely on. At @iron , we've been ready for this from the beginning. Through MoonPay Europe's MiCA authorization, we provide regulated infrastructure across the EEA. That includes fiat on and off ramps, virtual accounts, global payouts, and stablecoin settlement. Compliance isn't something you add later. It has to be built in from day one. If you're building in Europe and need regulated stablecoin infrastructure, let's talk. Legal: Services are provided under MoonPay Europe B.V.'s MiCA authorization where applicable. Crypto-assets involve risk. Do your own research.

EUR in. USDC out. On the surface, that's all a user sees. Under the hood, a modern stablecoin payment is orchestrating far more than a simple conversion. * Payment matching * Reconciliation * Transaction limit checks * AML screening * Fraud & risk checks * FX execution * Stablecoin conversion * Real-time settlement * Webhook & status updates All of this happens in seconds, behind a single API. Across multiple banks and payment platforms. The goal of infrastructure isn't to expose complexity - it's to absorb it. The best financial infrastructure feels simple because every operational, banking, compliance, and settlement workflow has already been handled for you. That's the promise of programmable money: developers build products, not payment engines. Want reliable rails? --> Choose @iron

The most important API in stablecoins isn’t on-chain. It’s the one that connects to a bank. Most stablecoins start and end with fiat. Someone deposits dollars. Someone withdraws euros. Someone settles into a local bank account. The blockchain is only one leg of the journey. The rest happens across payment rails, banking partners, compliance systems, liquidity and FX infrastructure. That’s why stablecoin adoption won’t be driven by better wallet UI/X. It’ll be driven by making money move between traditional finance and digital assets as if there were no boundary at all. Maximum compatibility, lowest friction. Infrastructure isn’t the exciting part. But it’s the part that makes everything else possible. That’s what we’re building at @iron

Everyone talks about moving money globally. Almost nobody talks about liquidity. A payment rail is only useful if money can actually enter and exit it efficiently in size. That's the challenge with many stablecoin systems today. Moving USDC on-chain is easy. Moving $50 million from a bank account into USDC and back out again is where things get complicated. Banking relationships. FX liquidity. Local payout infrastructure. Regulatory coverage. That's the real work. The winners in stablecoin payments won't be the companies that move tokens fastest. They'll be the companies that connect tokenized money to the real financial system most efficiently. That's what we're focused on at @iron
