One thing COVID taught me about marriage was you can have a small wedding and still have a big beginning We got married during COVID No huge crowd No elaborate reception No fancy wedding car In fact, we used my husband’s friend’s Corolla😂 We had food for about 50 people, and after the wedding Mass, the rain came heavily If you saw our wedding day, you probably wouldn't think, “Wow, they must have spent a fortune.” But six years later, I’ve realized that the wedding wasn't the important part. What we were building was. A beautiful wedding lasts a day but marriage gives you thousands of ordinary days to figure each other out. So if you're preparing for marriage, spend less time asking: “How do we make our wedding perfect?” And more time asking: “How do we make our marriage healthy?” Can we communicate when we're angry? Can we disagree without disrespecting each other? Can we still be kind to each other when life isn't kind to us? Because those are the things nobody sees in your wedding pictures But they are the things that will matter long after the pictures are posted Young married people, what's one thing you wish you had prepared for before your wedding? I'd genuinely love to learn from you.

My boyfriend says I'm the most confident I've ever been since I started dressing differently. He thinks the clothes changed me. They didn't. For years, I'd dress around him. Nothing too fitted. Nothing too short. Nothing that would make him ask me why I was “trying so hard.” If I wore something I loved, he'd make little comments....

Sometimes, contenment can save us from unnecessary próblems. I was taking a nap yesterday evening when I heard some noises outside our gate. I went out and saw the owner of a big shop in the neighborhood shouting at his employee. What happened was that the employee has a motorcycle, the common type used for commercial purposes. But ever since his boss bought a “ladies bike,” he has been riding it whenever his boss is not around. The man keeps the bike in the shop's environment with its key since he has a car. His boss travelled over the weekend, so the guy took the “ladies bike” without asking for permission and rode it to a party with his friends. When the party ended, they noticed that the bike had been badly dâmaged, but they didn’t know who had dámaged it. The man came back yesterday evening, saw his bike, and has been shouting ever since. He told the guy to fix the bike if he didn’t want any troûble, but the guy has been pleading with him, saying that he doesn’t have any money.

We humans need to learn THE ART OF NOT TOUCHING PEOPLE PROPERTIES WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION. If you can learn this skill, you will hardly enter trouble with others and the world will hardly be stingy towards you. . . Till we complete this race, I shall wait for you above with a glass of milk for all said and done.🥛

You demanded to be the head of the house. Yet you do not know how to operate the washing machine you bought. You cannot boil water without asking where the salt is. When your wife gets sick, the entire household logistics collapse in less than 12 hours. You are just a heavily subsidized dependent with a deep voice. Weaponized incompetence = embarrassment. And many of you are on this train of incompetence. A real man knows the architecture of his own domain. He can step in and run the entire operation seamlessly. Stop being a burden.

I don’t know how many times we need to talk about this before you people understand. Or you guys are just feigning ignorance??? Women are the same everywhere. The dating pool is messed up globally 🌎. BUT 👇🏽👇🏽 There’s no woman you’ll meet abroad and the first thing she’s thinking of is “financial support” or how to collect money for rent, transport, iPhone, wig, or her mother’s hospital bill. And they’re very upfront if what they want is just to FUCK you. Now, can we say the same about majority of our +234 girls???? NO!!!

A man was sued for defamation over something he posted on social media. When the case came up, he asked his wife, who is a lawyer, to handle it for him. The wife refused. According to her, he had gotten himself into trouble by making accusations online without any evidence to support them. She felt he was wrong and didn't want to be involved in defending the case. He then hired another lawyer, but things didn't go well. He lost the case and was ordered to pay damages to the person who sued him. Unfortunately, he couldn't raise the money, and as a result, he spent eight months in jail. Two days after his release, he fell ill and sadly passed away. Now, his family is blaming his wife for everything that happened. They believe that if she had agreed to represent him as his lawyer, things might have turned out differently. Hmmmmmm🤔

MY GRANDMA & ME 😂 — EP. 1 Me: Grandma, I think I finally found someone special. Grandma: What's their name? Me: Charles. Grandma: Do they have a job? Me: Grandma… Grandma: Do they have a car? Me: Why does that matter? Grandma: Because butterflies don't pay rent. Me: You really don't believe in love, do you? Grandma: I believe in love. I just don't believe in unemployed love.

@Aretetolife_03 Oh my goodness, he doesn't have money, yet he decided to use his boss's bike while the boss was away. I can't pity someone who doesn't pity himself.
My cousin’s school manager mandated all the non-academic staff to keep coming to school. My cousin works as a cook in the school, and the school went on vacation two weeks ago. There are no students in the hostel, but the school manager told all the non-academic staff to keep coming to school. They arrive at 8:30 a.m., do nothing, and leave at 3:30 p.m. They pleaded with the manager to allow them to stay at home and at least rest before school resumes in September, but he said, “If you people don’t see any work to do, sleep at your duty post. After all, I’m paying all of you.”

The kind of woman that I need as a wife. 1) I am waiting for my husband to come back so we can eat together. 2) I am waiting for my husband’s opinion, he said we will talk about it today, anything he says, that’s what I would do. 3) she tells her children to always go and thank daddy. 4) a woman who is a team player. She understands what marriage is all about. 5) a woman who divorce is not in her agenda. We must fix our marriage kinda woman. 6) a spiritual but not religious woman, she loves God but not religious. 7) a woman who has the vibe of a baddy once in a while. 8) a woman who loves cooking. I am a traditional man, I am not going into the kitchen to boil water. 9) a business oriented woman, a woman who knows how to make money work for her. 10) a woman who loves me more than I love her. Not clingy, not insecure, but just pure love. Are you that kind of woman? Your husband might be around.

Your immune system keeps a list of who belongs in the building. Normally, your own cells are on the guest list. In autoimmune disease, something goes wrong with recognition and the immune system begins attacking parts of the body it should leave alone. It’s basically security seeing the homeowner and shouting INTRUDER! Meanwhile, the actual owner is standing there confused. 😭 🤷🏾‍♀️👍 There are some of the autoimmune diseases that can make you think dem don do you juju, but na your immune system dey fight the homeowners.

Are female CEOs more aggressive? Let's have that conversation. I have seen quite a few people complain about working with female CEOs and describe them as aggressive. I have worked with female CEOs too, and I have noticed something interesting. Some have been incredibly supportive. While with others, you could submit the work, fix it, improve it, submit it again and still get more corrections done. At first, it's tempting to conclude; Female CEOs are just aggressive. But that's where psychology gets interesting. Is the person actually being aggressive, or are we sometimes interpreting assertiveness differently because she's a woman? Psychology tells us that we often have different expectations for how men and women should behave. A highly demanding man might be described as firm. A highly demanding woman might be described as difficult. But there is another side to this. We shouldn't use gender expectations as an excuse for genuinely poor leadership either. If a CEO constantly humiliates people, refuses feedback, finds fault with everything, or creates fear in the workplace, that's a leadership problem, regardless of whether the CEO is a man or a woman. Sometimes too, this can be a behavioural thing. a person may be going through a difficult period in their personal life, dealing with stress, pressure, or other challenges and that can affect how they behave at work. That can happen to any gender which we all know. But here is what matters, How you manage what you are going through is part of what makes you a leader. Being under pressure may explain someone's behaviour. It doesn't automatically excuse it. So I am curious, Have you worked with both male and female CEOs? What differences have you noticed????

It’s time I let the cat out of the bag for those of us building from the ground up on X. When you first show up on a new platform especially here on X, you need some guidance from people who've been around longer. That's normal. What isn't normal is how fast most of you lose yourselves, your clarity, and your direction because of the noise you swallow from the so-called big accounts and "mentors." The reality of the matter is: Some of those big accounts aren't making money right now - X paused their payouts. Some don't earn nearly as much as they act like they do. Some aren't who they pretend to be. Some deliberately paint a false picture of themselves just to cash in on other people's ignorance. And when there's an update or a new feature on X They deliver the news in the most fear-inducing way possible when it could just as easily be explained clearly and calmly. You end up feeding on that ugly communication style. Your clarity disappears, and eventually, so does your confidence. You start believing you can't figure anything out without them. Suddenly even basic instructions feel hard. Distraction takes over. Looking up to someone is okay. Having a mentor is fine. Just don't hand them your brain. Do what works for you. Trust yourself. Use X without being scared of it.

I spent almost two years helping my boyfriend build the life he kept telling me was “ours.” I paid the rent. Bought the groceries. Covered his phone bill. Even paid for his car insurance when he said things were tight. Every time I asked when he’d start contributing, he’d kiss my forehead and say, “Once things get better.”

The New Content Rewards / Original Content Rewards Program🎯 Basically, everybody is starting on a clean slate, whether you're monetized or not. If you aren't monetized yet, and you currently meet the 500K home timeline impressions criterion (plus all other criteria), you'll be allowed to apply. You'll need to submit ten samples of your original content. Think of it like applying for a contract, you're submitting your portfolio as proof of work. You get to choose any ten original tweets from your pool of content to prove you're creating original work. Everyone must go through this, big accounts, small accounts, already monetized or hoping to be, as long as you meet the criteria. This means everyone gets a fair chance. Every great thing in life requires a process. Making money requires hard work. WHAT SHOULD WE DO NOW? A. Focus on original content. B. Be strategic in your content creation. C. Create content that makes a total stranger engage, content that moves people and keeps strangers interested. D. If the content doesn't make someone think, laugh, teach, learn something new, or challenge an opinion, don't bother posting it. E. Pay more attention to your posts; focus less on virality. F. Followership doesn't count for much anymore, it's the health of your account that matters. Focus on that instead. If you have the time, spend it well. Here, you will be rewarded.
