The New York City mayor’s first responsibility is keeping New York City residents safe. Less than 24 hours after @NYCMayor Mamdani falsely accused Israel of genocide, his words were successful in inspiring violence against Jews in New York City, as predicted by many. Mamdani is highly intelligent. He had to have known that his words were extremely dangerous and would inspire violence, but he spoke them anyway. Mayor Mamdani, what do you have to say to those that have been harmed because of your words? What do you have to say to the victims’ families and to Jews in NY who are now afraid to wear symbols of their religious beliefs? What are you going to do about it?

I just read through the DSA's new platform. It is the most utopian/dystopian, bat-sh*t insane thing I have ever read. It includes: 1. No more bills for anyone 2. Government-run food, housing, medicine, transportation, and nationalizing all other large corporations and essential industries 3. The drafting of a “new constitution” 4. Defunding the Department of War 5. Slavery reparations 6. Unlimited free abortion and “gender-affirming care” for all, including minors 7. Have taxpayers pay off everyone’s entire student debt & fund unlimited “free” higher education for all 8. Taking “steps toward fully abolishing the police and prison system” 9. Ending ALL deportations, providing amnesty for ALL illegal immigrants, and allowing unlimited migration to America 10. Abolish the Presidency, Supreme Court, and Senate Other than that, their plans seem super realistic, practical, and not at all naive, revolutionary, or dystopian. 🤡🤡🤡

We need a 3rd option. If we allow partially-stolen, subsidized, cheap Chinese AI to grab the American user base, we will be repeating the mistakes made 25 years ago with our manufacturing base that will take 10 more years to fix. Result: upstate landowners lost billions in forgone royalties, and New Yorkers now import gas from Pennsylvania, where the drilling happens anyway. Ruffalo kept the view from his Sullivan County property pristine. You paid for it. Mises named this type in The Anti-Capitalistic Mentality back in 1956: the resentful intellectual who mistakes his personal guilt for a social theory. Ruffalo feels bad about his mansion, so you must surrender your paycheck. He endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016 and again in 2020, backing wealth taxes that would gut a family machine shop in Ohio while barely grazing Hollywood royalty streams structured by tax attorneys. Call it hypocrisy and you undersell it. Advocacy costs him nothing and buys enormous status among the people who make casting decisions.
