A new body is the right next step and the wrong miracle. Nothing about the mind changed. C3S / LoomEscape-16 v0.2.0 did not retrain the fly and did not touch the TapeOut netlist. The same 1,235-byte circuit now runs in three chassis: a browser → a WASM handheld → an M5Stack Cardputer ADV (ESP32-S3) Cycle-accurate across all three. 8,388,608 input-state pairs exhausted. 77 train + holdout stimuli match beat-for-beat. 100 local tests passed. "Immortal fruit flies" is the right wish and the wrong unit. A connectome is a wiring resource, not an executable mind. What can actually persist on BNB today is much smaller: a bounded reflex → a hard circuit → a public state object other people can revive. C3S / LoomEscape-16 already froze one such object: 74 NAND policy, 173 NAND + 6 LATCH core, full-domain checks, EVM replay, open challenge set. A top TapeOut miner in the UK DMed me this week. He is a trader and a geek guy. He was not looking for a ticker call. He wanted to know what I actually see in this thing, and why I have been writing about it so much. I keep giving the same answer. I was an early investor in UniSat. The lesson from that period was not “find the next ticker.” When a new primitive shows up, the market first trades the right to imagine what can be built on top of it. Most people looked at BRC-20 and saw a JSON file and a floor price. What actually changed was the stack around it: wallets, indexers, issuance tools, and the right to interpret the standard. People who used to watch from outside started building the rails themselves. TapeOut has that same feeling. I would not call it the next BRC-20. BRC-20 reopened issuance on Bitcoin. TapeOut is trying to do something harder: take the improvement of a machine and make it public, competitive, and possible for anyone to recompute. The loop everyone can already see is simple: Mint transistors → build a miner → mine $BEM → sell That loop is real. It is also only the on-ramp. If TapeOut ends up as a contest over who can extract more tokens, it will fade the way every other mining skin fades. The reason I am still watching is that the circuit is not trying to be a better smart contract. A smart contract is a business. It has state, permissions, and the ability to call other contracts. That is why it is useful. It is also why it is dangerous. A TapeOut circuit is closer to a manufactured netlist. You consume parts and what remains is the wiring. It should not have an admin key, should not call out, and should not quietly upgrade itself. Same input should always produce the same output. Someone else can drop it into a larger design as a black box without inheriting an attack surface. Contracts are businesses and state. Circuits are parts and constraints. Nobody should use this to replace Uniswap. Use it when you need a function that cannot change version underneath you, a component other machines can reuse, or a hard limit that an agent cannot talk its way around. Bitcoin wrote scarcity into money. TapeOut is trying to write progress into machines. If these circuits are only ever used to mine, then this was just a more intelligent farm. If they start getting called as parts and constraints, a new industry just found its first language. #TapeOut#

This is what a real builder community looks like. @dis_404 didn’t just point at a hole: he shipped public infrastructure: a free, read-only verifier that checks a circuit against its onchain reference over every input, not the 256 public vectors PoD samples. 350 / 8,848 decided miners failing full equivalence (~17.6% of decided hashpower) is a protocol signal, not a witch hunt. As he said: mismatch ≠ intent. Could be a buggy generator. Could be vector-fitting. The data just shows the current scoring surface rewards “pass 256, delete the rest.” PoD’s next job is clear: keep first-creator premium, close the trim-to-vectors path. should sit next to the official dashboard — 15-min snapshots, block age in the header, anyone can reproduce.
