People drove out to the western Negev to hear a DJ and stand under cheap colored shade and drink from red fridges that still say Coca-Cola in the frame. By the time this camera is moving, the music is gone and the only question left on the audio is whether anyone lying there can still signal that they are alive. I’ve watched a lot of October 7 footage, hours of it, most of it unpublicized due to the severity of the imagery and the families not wanting it out there, and I still cannot get used to how ordinary the ground looks. Plastic chairs. A leopard-print bag by an open car door. A poster about being environmentally friendly. Then the bodies in the same dirt, and soldiers walking the same ground because the people who did this had already left with the ones they wanted alive. Propagandists talk about this day as being just “chaos” and “both sides” and a raid that got a little out of hand. This is not that. This is what a massacre looks like when it is finished with a field and has not yet finished with the country. This is what intent to kill anyone and everyone looks like. They came for civilians at a festival. Young unarmed students. That is the whole sentence. Everything after it is commentary.

Killing is easy. There is nothing heroic in the act. Heroism is the reason the act had to happen. Context is not a luxury. It is the whole moral file. October 7 is the file. Several thousand Gazans came through the fence. Not half of them were Hamas, and that does not help them. They were Gazans. For seven hours they hunted people like a sport. Men. Women. Children. Babies. They hacked living bodies with garden tools to take the head. They shot young women in the back and laughed. They filmed it so the world would have to watch the joy. They praised their god while they did it. They took twelve hundred lives and more because they wanted to. Hate. Religious decree. Fun. That is not a tragedy that got out of hand. That is a people at work. Israel could have answered in the same language. Three hundred thousand men and women under arms. The weapons. The reach. A wave across the Strip that fired at every living thing the way they fired at every living thing. Five hundred thousand dead in days. A million if the order had been the order they gave themselves. We did not give it. That is the difference the propagandists cannot survive, which is why they bury it under Nakba posters and edited clips. One side kills in order to take a life. The other kills in order to stop the next one. If those thousands had come with three hundred thousand rifles instead of what they carried, the dead would not have been a festival. They would have been a country. Look at who died trying to stop it. Israelis ran toward the slaughter to pull strangers out of houses and cars. They died as heroes. Find me the Gazan who died that morning defending a civilian from his own neighbors. There is no such story. The mothers send the children to die and call it pride. They want the body count. They want the afterlife. They worship the grave and call it resistance. Self-defense is not a loophole. It is the adult act. There is no morality in letting innocents die so your hands stay clean for a campus chant. If the only way to keep a child in a bed is to kill the man coming for the bed, you kill him. I have. I took no pleasure in any of the lives that I had to take. It was necessary. And I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. That is the line between taking a life to murder and taking a life to save one. Good and evil is not a mood. It is that line.

This footage is absolutely wild🔥🤯 A skydiver outside a Beechcraft C90 King Air captured the plane stalling and spinning right next to them during a jump run at 16,000 ft over Mossel Bay, South Africa in October 2021. Too many jumpers hanging in the “float” position outside the door shifted the center of gravity aft and blanked airflow over the left horizontal stabilizer. The nose pitched up past the elevator’s authority, the wing dropped, and it entered a spin. The pilot (who later posted a detailed account) cut power, centralized the controls, applied opposite rudder, and recovered cleanly. Plane and all the jumpers made it back fine. The camera work is insane, steady, composed, and somehow still framing the aircraft while everything is going sideways. One of those rare “you had to see it to believe it” aviation/skydiving moments.

I wanted to push Grok to its limits to create a longer-form video, beyond the current 30-second limits of Grok Imagine in a single generation. The idea was to bring the full SpaceX and Tesla ecosystem together in one short film: a massive Starship fleet launching from Earth to serve as boosters for a giant Cybertruck “space station” acting as the mothership to Mars. The Cybertruck then transforms into a large Optimus robot that joins other giant Optimus robots already on Mars and explores a futuristic colony featuring xAI, the Boring Company, Tesla Energy, Neuralink, and Starlink. This project took over four weeks and hundreds of attempts to get each segment and detail right and to flow from one part to the next as seamlessly as possible before stitching them into a coherent story. I am not a professional designer or filmmaker by any shape or form. In fact, quite the opposite. But it showed me that you don’t need to be a pro to create something meaningful with Grok. It’s a remarkable creation and was there helping at every step.
