This might be the most important comment from $DELL earnings: “Inference has passed training and is pure demand on our industry.” Dell expects AI inference demand to grow 87X by 2030 to 3,600 quadrillion tokens. (Whaaa???) Training demand? That’s just 5X. And Dell expects enterprise agentic AI to become the single largest workload by 2028. This is why I think people calling for the AI infrastructure buildout to peak are missing the bigger picture. Training was just phase 1. Inference is going to be phase 2. As agents begin performing dozens or hundreds of tasks autonomously, token consumption and compute demand could explode. This is exactly what @daniel_koss has been saying. The AI infrastructure boom isn’t ending when the models are trained…this is when the real consumption starts.

…and shout out to @Ravninvest for finding such an odd post. 🫡
This is probably one of the oddest posts I’ve seen in a while.
Thanks for the dip. Just paid for my Turks and Caicos vacation.
This is probably one of the oddest posts I’ve seen in a while.
I know over 20 millionaires who got there by investing in index funds. I don’t know a SINGLE person who did it from individual stocks. Not one.
Everyone is expecting rate hikes and a September drawdown. I guess it’s happening then. Because the market always does what we expect…right? …RIGHT?
Your idea could be 100% correct. But you still could see everything get cut in half temporarily. Like Buffet says, he’d trade in 30 IQ points for control over emotions. That’s the key. Can you hold a concentrated position in a draw down without freaking out…when you know you are right? You will be tested most times.

People say “oversized” when they mean uncomfortable. Those aren’t the same thing. If a position matters, it should be uncomfortable when it moves against you. Otherwise it probably doesn’t matter enough. The line isn’t discomfort. It’s bankruptcy. Can I be very wrong, sit through an ugly drawdown, and still be fine? I’ve lived the extreme version of that question. My startup was effectively my entire net worth for yrs. One outcome. It worked, but I had a lever. I could go to work every day and affect the result. As an investor you don’t get that. Someone else executes and you sit there. So concentration has to be underwritten differently. The survival test should be stricter, not looser. And the part most people skip entirely is whether they survive being wrong about everything at once. Positions that look independent usually aren’t. If they’d all break for the same reason, you don’t have five positions. You have one. That’s the real constraint. Not how big any single one feels. If it passes, I want my best ideas to matter. Diversifying them into irrelevance to sleep better defeats the point.

Remember that time $NBIS absolutely killed Q2 earnings?
Slightly dovish
BREAKING JOLTS Job Openings Act.: 7.27M, Est.: 7.33M, Prev.: 7.18M
$NBIS at least that gap was just filled.
Just hike it and get it over with. Or dont and stfu. Pretty sick of talking about it. Pontificating, studying, discussing, etc…you gotta be kidding me. The overhang is more damaging than an actual cut. It’s like being a kid at the doctors office and the doctor keeps talking about the shots you will need. Nah just give me the fkn shot doc. Or stfu

FED’S BARR WARNS RATE HIKE MAY BE NEEDED Fed Governor Michael Barr says inflation remains too high, despite solid economic growth and a stable labor market. Barr favors holding rates steady if inflation continues moderating. However, he warned that if inflation fails to cool soon, an interest-rate hike will be necessary. He added that AI investment is supporting economic growth, while persistent above-target inflation remains a key risk.

Wow, one of the best quotes I’ve ever seen. Like I’ve been saying, controlling your emotions is the most important part of investing. You can be a genius, but if you have no stomach, no fortitude, you might as well just invest in ETFs…because you will get wrecked.

$NBIS Update: Pennsylvania Gigafactory Phase III zoning is OFFICIALLY APPROVED‼️ I called again and managed to get a hold of the Butler Township Supervisor Chairman Mr. Kessler. We had a nice chat, and he confirmed tonight's ordinances passed 2 to 1. Conversation notes 👇 1⃣ Selection Bias Mr. Kessler told me that out of Butler Township’s ~5,000 residents, only 12 people showed up to tonight’s meeting. Vineland has ~60,000 residents. Maybe 100 showed up to protest at the site amendment hearing. Noise ≠ consensus. The loudest voices are almost never representative of the broader community. Most residents are indifferent, supportive, or just not sufficiently opposed to bother showing up. 2⃣ Butler Township WANTS This Datacenter Kessler told me Pennsylvania is “screwy” right now (with Shapiro), but his view is that datacenters are coming regardless. Eventually, municipalities across the state will be asked to accommodate them. Butler Township decided to get ahead of that. Two years ago, the township passed an ordinance designating where datacenters could be built, deliberately selecting an area along I-81 with substantial separation from nearby residents. Rather than wait for the state to come in and say, “We’re putting a datacenter here,” Butler wanted to already be able to say: “We have a spot.” 3⃣ Noise Study Before the vote, Butler Township commissioned an independent noise study to model the datacenter under a range of operating conditions. Kessler said the analysis incorporated roughly 15 years of local temperature data, because the cooling equipment becomes louder as temperatures rise. He noted that temperatures high enough to push the facility toward its loudest operating conditions occurred only three times over that 15-year period. The study modeled the facility at or near full cooling load during extreme heat, including temperatures approaching the local historical high of roughly 101.7°F. It also modeled how noise attenuates with distance from the site. Kessler said the nearest property owner is approximately 3,500 feet away, and cited modeled levels falling to roughly 52 dBA during daytime, and into the mid-20 dBA range at night farther from the facility. The study gave the board enough comfort to tighten the allowable noise limit from 75 dBA to 65 dBA.

Spot on. Most AI companies’ fundamentals have improved while the prices have gone down. Patience my friends!
Every AI company that matters beat earnings and raised guidance. From $AMZN to $NVDA to $NBIS to $LITE to $SNDK, and so on. The past few months have been tough. But useful to remember that fundamentals have improved through this entire period. I personally think we'll see a rubber band type recovery once macro cleans up.

The numbers don’t lie. Sorry doomers. Green September loading…
Over the last 20 years, July has been the Nasdaq’s best month and September its worst. But when July is negative, September is 3-for-3 green.
