A child was in an elevator in the Downtown apartment building when the rounds started. Another day in Tim Walz’s city. Reporting tonight: shooter was being evicted that same day. Court records by local investigators cited prior threats with a gun. Shooter was in the apartment building long enough to empty a magazine into it. Walz posted that the “public safety team is responding.” Frey asked people to stay away from the block. Minnesota has spent years arguing about anti-gun slogans. The officers on Grant Street did not get a slogan. They got a haze and a hallway. This is not “random” until the files say it is. It is a man with a gun, a notice on the door, and a city that keeps learning the same lesson in blood. Say the officers’ names when they release them. Say the victims’ names when they release them. Then ask why the threat was on paper long before the bodies were on the floor. ⚖️🐍✨
