Exciting times! A short note on today's change: When we introduced service fees, we were deliberate about one principle: the goal is sustainability with minimal friction. If the data and real usage showed that a specific fee was creating more friction than value for the ecosystem, we would adjust it. Fees around NFTs were removed quickly, as that part of the ecosystem needed nourishing. That moment has arrived for the 0.09 XRP minimum on trades and limit orders. Xaman Swap has performed better than we originally projected. Trading activity inside the app has become a meaningful way for people to put the XRP Ledger’s deep liquidity to work. At the same time, onboarding new users is accelerating rapidly, and reducing unnecessary friction helps more people actually use the network. Our ambition has never stopped. We are building toward tens of millions of people accessing the XRP Ledger through secure, self-custodial tools. Every product decision is filtered through that lens. Removing the fixed minimum is a small change with a clear purpose: make trading more accessible and lower the barrier for new and existing users. Less friction compounds.
