A dangerous decision during a New Year's Eve celebration has landed Jose Raul Alarcon Sanchez in federal prison for 35 months. Sanchez fired multiple rounds from an AR-style rifle off the Margaret McDermott Bridge while surrounded by the public and has been charged for unlawfully possessing a firearm as an illegal alien. @ATFDallas @DallasPD @GrandPrairiePD Read more here:

HAPPENING NOW: Special Agent in Charge Spotswood attends a press conference to stand with law enforcement partners to announce the results of Operation United Resolve where 140 people were arrested, 300 warrants executed and almost 30 illegal firearms were recovered. #ATF#

▶️NIBIN Win: In June 2024, a Florida drive by killed a mother and her 4 year old. A tip identified the shooter. One month later in Georgia, that same suspect crashed during a chase and ran into the woods, dropping a bookbag. Atlanta ATF K-9s found the bag, with his ID and two guns inside, one with a machinegun conversion device. His DNA was on both guns. NIBIN showed that one of those guns was used in an Atlanta shooting two weeks earlier. He was arrested, pled guilty, and was sentenced in August to 25 months. The Florida murder case is still pending trial.

Another member of the Four Deuce Oakland Crips gang is behind bars thanks to the diligence of @ATFDallas and @DallasPD. Travion Williams is now spending the next 90 months in federal prison. Consistency and hard work pay off as Travion is the twelfth defendant associated with the Four Deuce Oakland Crips gang that has been convicted of federal offenses. @ATFHQ

Yesterday evening, while patrolling the JVL, #SLMPD# District 4 officers attempted to stop a vehicle that had expired plates. The male passenger immediately fled from the vehicle on foot, but officers and ATF agents were able to catch up and take him into custody. The man was found to be in possession of a stolen gun and suspected narcotics.

ATF has upgraded its alert system for federal firearms and explosives licensees to the BEACON/Everbridge platform to strengthen and streamline emergency and other critical communications with licensees. Indian National Illegally in U.S. Convicted at Trial of Drug and Gun Crimes Defendant Possessed, Intended to Distribute Over 60 Pounds of Cocaine Gurlal Singh was found guilty by a federal jury of possession with intent to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine and possession of a firearm by an alien illegally and unlawfully in the U.S. Pennsylvania State Police troopers and Bethel Township Police Department officers responded to the defendant’s residence for a report of a shooting incident related to a home invasion. Troopers secured the location, conducted a safety sweep, and located an AK-47 style rifle near the front door, as well as a fired cartridge casing and projectile on the first floor. The same day, investigators obtained and executed a state search and seizure warrant for the residence. A search of the premises revealed a quantity of cocaine, kilogram size wrapping materials, and a black digital scale. Law enforcement learned that between April 2024 and August 28, 2024, Singh and another person, charged elsewhere, possessed with the intent to distribute 28 kilograms of cocaine. In addition to the AK-47 style rifle that he possessed and discharged in his home, Singh was found to have two shotguns, a pistol, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, which, as an illegal alien and prohibited person, he was not lawfully permitted to possess. @DEAPHILADELPHIA @PAStatePolice @USAO_EDPA See News Release ⬇️

During Operation Show Me Justice, the federal law enforcement surge in St. Louis, ATF, @SLMPD, @FBIStLouis, and @DEAStLouis responded to a shot detection notification in the Walnut Park East neighborhood. Investigators located shell casings nearby and approached two men in the area. One man pulled out a firearm, but after a brief stand-off, dropped the gun and fled. Agents pursued and took him into custody. The firearm was recovered and will undergo further analysis. The other man who was cooperative was later released at the scene. Operation Show Me Justice puts federal and local law enforcement together on the streets of St. Louis, allowing us to respond quickly to gunfire, recover crime guns and identify individuals who may be driving firearm-related violence in our communities.

Shawn Ryan Cowan, 46, of Hamilton, and previously convicted of multiple felonies, was sentenced to federal prison for unlawfully possessing a firearm. A tip to law enforcement led to a search of his home were 10 firearms and various types of ammunition were located. His previous convictions include aggravated kidnapping, burglary and possession of dangerous drugs. See full news release at
