Some personal news - Polymarket has acquired Craft Agents, and part of the Craft team is joining Polymarket.
I'll be leading Product Engineering, with the goal of building one of the best product and design engineering teams in the world.

As a builder l would be quite happy if models no longer improve exponentially. Even without further improvements there’s much we could do 10x better - and being able to focus on a problem for more than 3 months could result in some novel ideas on the the ui/product side of things!

Altman admitted that transformer models have hit the wall. Most improvements in the last 9 months are attributable more to the tooling around the model rather than the models themselves. In other words, this technology is rapidly maturing with no signs of another leap.

Same dilemma as we’ve seen before : As companies keep adding people and velocity isn’t going up, it’s going down. Difference is it’s easier to add raw throughput with agents than ever.
im fully convinced that LLMs are not an actual net productivity boost (today)
they remove the barrier to get started, but they create increasingly complex software which does not appear to be maintainable
so far, in my situations, they appear to slow down long term velocity

There's a lot of noise around how "Ai generates buggy software". The truth is writing the code was always 20% of the time. Testing and refining was always 80%. But now as that 20% compresses 10x, we want to compress the 80% as well... That's the mistake.

90% of my time is now spent in Do the plan, screenshots come back (via built-in browser) of the implemented feature, and when needed fully built HTML artifacts for multiple edge cases, light/dark mode etc. Feels so nice...

Great to see same system we've been using at Craft, and being used here as well - 2 colors + 1 accent is all you need when used right. Adding a success+info+error color as optional can add those final touches of everything feeling "just" right. Contrast is a very thoughtful addition!
