Researchers from the University of California found an unusual way to raise money for science — they created an OnlyFans page. But instead of adult content, it features videos of yellow-bellied marmots.
The project, jokingly named OnlyMarms, helps fund a long-term animal study that scientists have been conducting for more than 60 years at a research station in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Project leader Daniel Blumstein said the service will not replace scientific grants, but it can help cover some expenses and attract public attention to the research.
