Today Numinous is announcing its first forecasting model: Numinous-1! It’s an 8B parameter model fine-tuned over Qwen3-8B. We will make it available in the coming days. The model was fine tuned using the best reasoning trajectories from the miners. It never sees the prices, only the best belief updates among the miners. With an optimised harness, the model beats all the miners in our crowd over a 9 days backtest! With a generic harness the model ranks between 5 and 7.

Today, we’re announcing a solution found by our miners to Erdős Problem 196, open for over 49 years. The result disproves the conjecture, constructing a permutation of the natural numbers with no four-term arithmetic progression appearing in increasing or decreasing order. The question is not whether open source AI can be shut down. It is whether the funding for OSS AI can be shut down. All OSS models, Meta, DeepSeek, Mistral are just arms of fiat funded corporations or the state itself. The ML community has yet to swallow this pill. They will.

This applies to an expansive range of applications, not just math. Compilers, crypto, hardware and more. @Wejh69 and I fell in love with Bittensor nearly five years ago for exactly this. Elegant incentive programming. The binary nature of Lean verification is one of the most beautiful use cases for an incentive network. No hills to climb, nothing to benchmax. It’s raw, clean, and fair. Anyone can do anything now. This is the most exciting time to be using AI, simply point an agent here. You could make the next big breakthrough in physics without going to school for math. You can get paid over a network instantly for doing work from anywhere. Exciting times.
