Two different things are happening in Dem politics + they’re getting conflated.
1. Primary electorates look less + less like general electorate voters. They’re high-info voters in low-turnout races + they’re picking progressive candidates.
AND…
2. Fighters who are angry at the establishment, sick of the status quo + coming to the table with big ideas are winning over voters regardless of how tuned in they are. ALL voters want this type of candidate.

Kudos to Julian Beaudion for putting South Dakota and the country first
I commend Julian Beaudion’s patriotic decision to make this a two-person race and put South Dakota first. Now South Dakotans who want to vote against Washington's cost-raising agenda and corruption can come together regardless of party. Let’s look forward to November and retiring Big Money Mike Rounds.

DSA’s governing theory makes no sense.
The mess we are in, though, is not the fault of DSA voters. It is the fault of more moderate Dem leaders who have failed to address voters’ very real anger with the establishment and the way things are.
We need an insurgent center-left.

If Democrats lead on AI, they could reshape the image of the party.
The fact that Trump wants to build a data center on every corner is a massive political opportunity for Democrats, if they are willing to make it an issue.
A well-known GOP activist came to my town hall last night. So I gave him the microphone to let him ask me a question because that’s what leadership is about

The candidate who has a real plan and a compelling message on this issue will have a massive advantage in 2028.
That is the cowards lesson. The real lesson is that if you take a stand for something you know to be right and just you should keep fighting, not retreat. You need to go down brawling for what’s right. You lose your senate seat either way, but you keep your integrity.
