Between Cursor, Open Router and Hugging Face There have been massive recent wins for @a16z, @ThriveCapital, @Lux_Capital etc @foundersfund + @valor had a generational win with SpaceX and Anduril is on the horizon @benchmark with Cerebras and Cursor @sparkcapital with their early Anthropic investment @khoslaventures with their early OpenAI bet (And forgetting many) These folks are keeping us @sequoia on our toes I’ve been a VC for 10 years now and it feels like the competition has never been more fierce, but simultaneously like the pie has never been bigger Congrats to so many on their epic recent wins 🫡

the default AI personal agent thesis seems to be that less human involvement = better product. i think this is the completely wrong thesis. in a lot of consumer categories, choosing is a major part of the experience. i want AI to eliminate the work around choosing, not the choice itself.

NEWS: I will be releasing a new take on @monogram_ai codename Appless. It's using @thesysdev OpenUI cloud offering to power inference + GenUI. It will come with some very powerful and useful integrations: @X, @figma, @gmail @googlecalendar, @linear, @SlackHQ and more surprises right out of the box. Again, I have to say I am a big fan of what @monogram_ai, @erenbali and @edouardtabet have built. I am just a smol dev that wants to push @expo and React Native to it's limits. This is a great way to do it. How I see it; Monogram is a new kind of construct. Press and hold action to push quick "built on the fly UI's" for a lot of type of agent responses is simply magical. Same as how the chat UI now fits almost any use case the delight of Monogram UI/UX take + fast inference + genUI opens up the door to a brand new type of mobile apps interaction.
