XRPL has been bucking the trend. While stablecoins across platforms have been contracting, they’ve been growing on the ledger.
RLUSD outstanding is up 39% since May 20, to $934M. Across platforms, there are about 6% fewer stablecoins in circulation than in May when things peaked, roughly $20B less. All this per our analysis of ledger data last week.
And on XRPL, it’s moving. In the past 30 days: ~$450M issued on XRP, ~$450M redeemed. Ethereum: $403M issued, $177M redeemed.

1/ When I think about the potential of blockchain technology, particularly the XRPL, it’s sometimes easier for me to think about it in terms of how the internet came about.
The internet introduced a novel way to move and interface with information. Decades after its inception, yes, you can read news media online. But more importantly, the internet brought about entirely new economies that weren't even fathomable at the time. It remade media, and then some, by giving people the ability to access, create and customize. Blockchain can herald that same paradigm shift, but with value. Opening up finance to almost anyone with an internet connection.
