Leaving NYC today and wanted to wrap with some closing thoughts: - @avax feels so well positioned for institutions but also a thriving on-chain eco they are finding an amazing balance - @AvaxTeam1 did amazing setting up events - @Wrathtank_avax isnt actually a grifter - @nobsfud ,@ExcelBaller , @0xSmitty are going to bring the community back - @JohnNahas84 has the aura to take avax to $100 - @PharaohExchange is positioned to fuel the ecosystem - this city smells funny - you arent bullish enough All in all, one of the most impactful events I've ever been too and am very thankful to be in this position. Thank you to @vohvohh and the marketing team for having me as a speaker and im really looking forward to the next one.

Avalanche Summit New York was excellent. Here a few of my initial takeaways: A lot of suits in the room this year. That's a tell. Avalanche, and this industry, is maturing fast. The institutions have arrived. This week alone: New York Life brought its first tokenized fund onchain through Centrifuge. Janus Henderson became a validator. Aave is launching an RWA lending market with Tether's USAT. NYSE's parent ICE is deep in evaluation for a 24/7 onchain trading platform. Tokenized U.S. stocks are coming to Avalanche through Pharaoh. And plenty more. The signal-to-noise ratio was genuinely high. Real value across the conversations, panels, and breakout discussions this week. Validators as a business, on current terms, face real structural challenges long term. This surfaced repeatedly in conversations and on panels. It's a problem worth taking seriously. The good news: that's exactly the problem our research agenda is designed to address. Measure, Capture, Distribute isn't theory anymore. The work is well underway. One of the best parts of this week was meeting the community in person. The quality of the conversations, the questions being asked, and the people showing up, it's a reminder of what this ecosystem is actually built on. One thing that stuck with me: the community already understands the hard problems. They're not waiting for answers, they're helping find them. Massive credit to Ava Labs for pulling off a genuinely strong Summit, and to Team1 for the community side events. The organization, the speakers, the energy, well done to everyone involved. The institutions have arrived. Our economics research agenda is moving. The community is engaged. What comes next is the part I'm most looking forward to. Vamos! 🔺

Enjoyed diving into how institutions are thinking about staking, a real pleasure to join the stage with @Figment_io, @BlockdaemonHQ, and @avax_one Didn't quite get to the really spicy stuff, but grateful for the conversation and the questions raised!

What Institutional Staking Looks Like 🔺 @frostLedger took the stage at Summit New York to explore the hard questions around staking, and where Avalanche fits into solving them. Here Matias digs into a problem most don't consider: how institutions and service providers actually think through hedging token-based compensation.

Day 1 of Avalanche Summit New York starts now! 🇺🇸🔺
I'll be at Avalanche Summit NYC this week. If you want to dig into our research agenda - GCP, GCI, capture mechanisms, validator economics, etc - come find me. Happy to discuss the methodology and where the work is headed. Looking forward to meeting everyone 🔺

The Foundation's research agenda comes down to two key areas of focus: sustainable value accrual, and validator economics. In practice, that means value captured sustainably, at scale, without disrupting the activity that creates it, and validator rewards that outpace inflation. That's what we're working towards. A stronger Avalanche 🔺

This is what institutional adoption at national scale looks like. The UAE is using Avalanche to power its national digital identity infrastructure for 12M+ residents. Governments demand trust, security, and reliability above everything else. Avalanche is built for all three 🔺

BREAKING: The UAE is using Avalanche to power its national digital identity infrastructure, serving 12M+ people UAE PASS is the country’s national digital identification system- it gives citizens, residents, and visitors a secure way to verify their identity, sign documents and access thousands of government and private-sector services. Now, @tdrauae is working with Deca4 to integrate Avalanche technology as the infrastructure powering the UAE PASS Digital Vault. The Vault lets users securely access and share verified official documents, while blockchain is used to verify their authenticity and ensure they haven’t been altered. National-scale digital infrastructure, built for millions, and powered by Avalanche.

College is the best opportunity in sports. As universities keep looking for new revenue to fund NIL, Uptop and Avalanche are the combo that can actually open those streams. Onward and upward!
Right now we're thinking about value capture through two paths: demand side and supply side. Demand side is about the activity itself. Growing use of block space and how we capture value from that directly. Supply side is a different lever, and it's where something interesting comes in: the minimum gas fee. Cheap gas isn't Avalanche's edge. Trust is. People use a chain because they trust it, not because it's cheap. And we're nowhere near where fee alone deters users. That's part of why ACP-283 proposed making the minimum gas fee dynamic. Validators vote on it and can adjust it because they directly benefit from transactions being priced correctly. A real equilibrium mechanism, not a fixed rule someone set once and forgot. Talked through this and more on the Layer One Podcast 🔺

No need to read between the lines - @frostLedger is explaining his thinking in this interview on how to accrue value back to the token and holders. When the business deals start to fit into this model is when it gets fun. Yes everything for the past year has been max pain, but it is happening and they want the chain and token holders to win 🔺

The starting problem was straightforward. Existing metrics like TVL or transactions don't tell you how much real value an ecosystem produces, only how much capital is sitting in it. GCP and GCI were built to answer the question those metrics can't. That's the foundation our research agenda is built on.

How does the Foundation measure the ecosystem? 🔺 @eric_lu_sc breaks it down: GCP (Gross Chain Product) measures what the Avalanche ecosystem produces. GCI (Gross Chain Income) measures what it earns.
