Chat is the wrong interface for an AI employee. When we started the company in 2023 and we didn't have a reliably working agent, I ran those fake agent demos where I was giving people a chat UI, promising them an agent that can do anything for them, and asking them what they would do. There was a human on the other side performing the tasks. The result? No one knew what to prompt. It turns out people are not good at coming up with things to automate. Except perhaps some people in San Francisco or those working in revops. Thus, we decided to not build a chat bot. I don't believe in chat interfaces are the future. @viktor_com lives where you work - in your tools - with your other colleagues. Want to speak to your best colleague? Why would we make you switch to another window when that colleague can already be there in Slack?

Engineering roles at @viktor_com are pretty unusual. We have: - Agent Harness Engineers - Agent Platform Engineers - Product Engineers No frontend. No backend. No old-school roles. The lines are very blurry. Most people are just extremely strong generalists.
