Gold Cab: everything about this vehicle is efficient. It starts with the app, which tells you if it’s dropping off another customer or when it’s matched you with a ride, then notifies you to accept. When the vehicle is on its way, it tells you the light-bar color and lets you adjust the pickup location. When it arrives, a countdown shows how long you have to reach it. As you walk up, it recognizes you and the doors open so wide you never think about space or time. One moment you’re outside; the next you’re inside. I don’t even know how that happens. Seatbelt on, doors shut. The ride begins. With few exceptions, it’s the most efficient and fastest route imaginable. At your destination you aren’t kicked out. You can stay, gather your things, and open the doors when you choose. Then the vehicle leaves, except it waits if you have luggage in the back. I’m hyper-acutely aware Tesla is constantly improving the system; I see Gold Cab test cars all over the city day and night. This is a serious operation. Seriously beautiful. GO CYBERCAB!!

Believe it or not, Jessica and I took a Cybercab to this location last Sunday evening for a sunset view. We both used Cybercab to shop for boots, and she let me borrow her gorgeous star boots for this picture. Right after, Cybercab took us to Kimball's restaurant. We had a nice time at the kitchen before getting back in another Cybercab to a bakery in South Austin for special pastries. Every ride was fun, and we look forward to seeing the cab in every city.
