You can tell how much more adapted Sam is to his role than Dario from the fact that within three days of getting on this hobbyhorse he's remembered that (a) Trump wants a Nobel really bad, and (b) that he feels a degree of brotherly love towards Xi. Dario presumably knows this, intellectually, but has dismissed it because he's just not a political animal.
