I've been reluctant to address Buckley Carlson, despite his being one of the most malicious and dishonest lunatics in public life and one of the worst actors in the campaign to malign Erika Kirk, TPUSA, and America more broadly over the last year. I've been reluctant because Buckley is a public figure only owing to the enormous fame of his brother, and because Tucker is not responsible for Buckley's sins. But Tucker is responsible for elevating his brother's stature even as Buckley has spewed one disgusting conspiracy after another. @BlakeSNeff says he tried talking to Tucker about the issue and got nowhere.

Charlie Kirk's producer, @BlakeSNeff, says he owes his entire career to Tucker Carlson after Tucker tapped him as his head writer on what became one of the most important nightly monologues in the Conservative Movement -- and arguably in the nation. Last week, Tucker accused Blake of embracing censorship over a Politico profile in which Blake argued the movement has to be willing to reject and denounce the year-long campaign of lies against Erika Kirk and Turning Point. Blake has been one of the most prominent voices online fighting back against Candace Owens' vile campaign against Erika Kirk and TPUSA. He insists he is a free speech maximalist. He has never asked a platform to ban Candace or a law to stop her. What he holds firmly is that a movement that cannot call a lie a lie will fail, and that Tucker, in extending Candace maximum grace, is carrying water for the people telling it.

As a fan of @guardian: this is one of the most immoral acts of journalism I've ever seen & Stephanie Kirchgaessner should genuinely be fired. No evidence of any wrongdoing by even a teenage @BrendanCarrFCC. Breaking the anonymity of AA for political purposes was the only point.

Mark Ruffalo’s blunder here should be studied. The Democrat AG’s already had a very weak antitrust case. The minute Ruffalo injected his feelings about Israel, and Democrats saw his early tweets and ties to Bonta’s lawsuit, they knew it was going to become harder to defend.

What’s kinda weird to me is that people are missing how bad the…parenting?…is here? I think you can actually survive and even thrive in a not-so-great school as a sort-of gentrifier (heck, even we considered it, given that we have a neighborhood school), but you have to be *on the ball,* demanding answers, following up on progress, chasing down administrators, keeping track of your kid compared to basic standards…you have to be a pain in their neck! And not just for your kids. Once you force accountability, you should (theoretically) get the domino effect of improving the school, as parents realize they can follow the same pattern and get better results. But you can’t just dump your kid in an objectively bad school and then never follow up until, like, 8th grade!

25 years later, what are children learning about 9/11? Two weeks ago, I wrote in @CityJournal about Penn's “Teaching Beyond September 11th” curriculum — a resource that omits key facts about the attacks, says nothing about al-Qaeda’s ideology that motivated the attacks, presents contested political claims as settled fact, and repeatedly steers students toward activism.

I have the honor of being invited to David Milstein's wedding. Let me say this. Giving cash gifts is standard, universal practice at Israeli weddings; a registry is not, and is actually viewed as bit pretentious by many. That David Milstein's wedding would include cash gifts is not a story, its standard. And there is no reason a US Embassy employee should be disbarred from such gifts. @politico's suggestion to the contrary is incoherent: typically registry gifts can be returned for cash or credit - so no wedding gifts for State Dept. employees? I should add that I've worked with David Milstein when he was in the senate, prior Trump Administration, and current one. He is a public servant of the highest integrity. @politico probably has a grudge against him because he doesn't leak.

Why should she live in a nicer house than anyone else? Eat healthier food than anyone else? If her child gets cancer, why should she advocate for her child get better healthcare than anyone else? Progressives and liberals rightly push for a society that takes care of everyone’s children. But when you bring a child into the world, you create specific obligations to *that child.* What it means to serve that child well is complex and I think you could make the case that NHJ believed she was doing that. But this idea it is a moral wrong for parents to prioritize their own child is one of those things cults do to break your sanity and basic humanity, and it is not going to get you very far politically. It’s also race-to-the-bottom thinking instead of an effort to bring everyone else up.
