The housing crisis won't fix itself until we ban landlords from owning more than three residential properties. Housing should be a basic human right and a stable community foundation, not an infinite investment portfolio. People are getting priced out of their hometowns by wealthy out-of-state investors buying up blocks for cash. They do zero improvements to the property, jack up the rent by 20% every year, and exploit the local market. The current system ensures the wealthy stay wealthy while the working class can never build real equity
