The remaining 622,000 EchoStar customers simply don't know that Starlink exists, as they are still waiting for the webpage to load.
US satellite internet provider Hughesnet has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after running low on cash and losing subscribers to @Starlink. In a quarterly report today, EchoStar also noted that its broadband subscribers had fallen to 622,000, a loss of 59,000 during Q2. “We continue to experience increased competition from satellite-based competitors and other technologies," it said.

This is unfortunate, but it is exactly why @ElectricEraTech has battery backed DCFC, so small businesses can attract EV customers without insane high demand charges.

Brilliant. This trick would also work with a cheese stick, or a dirty sock. "I'm serious. I have no idea how or why it works, but this is what the rental company gave me. Watch!" All Tesla owners, you are required to start doing this.

When in Vegas I like to stay at Mandalay Bay’s Delano because they have the most Tesla chargers. Now it’s being remodeled as the W. When I checked in, I told them it’s a loaner and I have no key but I could remote start it for them. Their policy now is they won’t accept a Tesla without a key so I gave them my Cybertruck key that’s at Superior and when he went to go unlock it I did it with the app and remote started it! After I saw it was plugged in, I locked it. When I picked it up, I watched the camera for the valet to come and did the same thing!

Sorry @Scobleizer , but you are the legal driver of the car. If you're falling asleep at the wheel, you aren't properly supervising the vehicle's actions. "Notice I still have a robot that hasn’t wrecked." Similar logic used by drunk drivers, who haven't killed anyone (yet).

Vacation report. Hello from Seattle. Watching everyone talking about Kimi and startup school. But I fell asleep quite a few times as our robot drove from San Jose to Seattle. Without stopping to sleep. This was something that killed a good friend in high school. Instead my Tesla woke me up and gave me a strike. Five strikes and the robot refuses to work anymore. Luckily I only have three. Other than those I didn’t touch the car in 900 miles. And I read on @markgurman that Apple is scared about putting cameras in glasses. That is the real startup lesson. Startup founders have to find customers so need to do something new. Big company employees need to worry about market share, so resist doing new things that could piss off some of its customers. While my robot drove, we passed several scenes like this one. Notice I still have a robot that hasn’t wrecked. Even though I fell asleep several times with my kids in the car. Maybe doing things a new way is the better way? Like putting datacenters in space? Visiting @Starcloud_ tomorrow to learn how that is done. Today gonna have our robot take us to see a volcano or two. Thanks to @tesla we probably will make it. I hope Apple gets the message that cameras save lives. If they don’t someone else will. Probably in China where they don’t worry about privacy so much. Oh and the real startup school is here on X. Tens of thousands of founders doing something new:

Here's a paper from 2017 which calculated the fastest time to do an EV Cannonball would be 45.4 hrs in a Model S P90D using circa 2017 Superchargers. 9 years later, we can do it autonomously (not going 100mph) at only 10% slower. @DavidMoss

Super impressed with Juggernaut L-track ratchets. I hauled some sharp rusty metal, and one strap got damaged from grinding against it while driving for a few hours. Juggernaut sent me an entire new ratchet assembly for cheap. Snag 1 or 4 for 10% off!

This poverty chart is interesting, but the world population has exploded during this same timeframe. Let's look at absolute numbers of humans that are affected by poverty.
Extreme poverty worldwide has never been as low as it is today, and it's never fallen as fast as in recent decades. We need more facts and less ideology...
