Last week at Dreamforce, I had the opportunity to sit down for several interviews and talk about a few things I care deeply about: the power of community, the work we’re doing at SaltClick, and the shifts happening across Slack, AI, and the broader technology ecosystem. One thing became even clearer throughout the week - we’re not simply watching AI features get added to the same systems we’ve always used. We’re seeing a fundamental shift in how people interact with technology. The future isn’t more tools, tabs, and disconnected workflows. It’s bringing people, data, business systems, and AI together in the places where work is already happening. That evolution is also changing the role of the admin. Admins are no longer just configuring technology. They’re becoming business architects, adoption leaders, and trusted guides who help organizations determine where AI can create real value. As these platforms evolve, enablement has to evolve with them. We need to give our community, and the broader workforce, the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to work alongside AI, not simply access it. That’s what makes the evolution of Slack so exciting. Slack is becoming more than a collaboration tool. It’s becoming a central interface where people can work alongside agents, access information, make decisions, and take action across systems. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share what we’re learning, represent the community that has shaped so much of my career, and talk about how we’re helping customers prepare for what comes next at SaltClick. Dreamforce may be over, but these conversations are just getting started. #Dreamforce# #DF26# #Slack# #Slackforce# #AI# #Salesforce# #FutureOfWork# #SalesforceAdmin# #Community#

Dreamforce Day 3 and we are finding the energy 😂🔥 Today: presenting TWICE, Slack Keynote, Admin Keynote, and getting hands-on with as many activations as I can. There is SO much to unpack from this week already, and I’m excited to dive deeper into what it all actually means over the next few weeks. What’s been your biggest takeaway from Dreamforce so far? 👀 #Dreamforce# #DF26# #Salesforce# #Slack# #Slackforce# #SalesforceAdmin# #TechTok# @SlackHQ @salesforce

The AI slowdown might actually be exactly what we need. 👀 One of my biggest Dreamforce takeaways: the conversation is shifting from how fast we can build AI to how we actually get PEOPLE to adopt it. And Salesforce’s strategy is getting clearer: Slack = where the work happens
Surfaces = how we interact with AI
Claude = another way into your Salesforce ecosystem
Salesforce = the trusted data + governance layer underneath it all The technology moved fast. Now we need to bring our people with us. And THAT might be the most important part of the next phase of AI. #Dreamforce# #DF26# #Salesforce# #Slack# #AI# #Claude# #Slackforce# #TechTok# @Benioff @rseaman2 @rbgavin @slack @salesforce

🔥 Dreamforce Day 1 and we are already getting to hear some of the messaging. Slackforce is the way forward. Dont worry about having to login to any other systems. Slack is your Front Door for your people and your agents. If you’ve been following me, then you know I’ve been talking about this journey that Salesforce and Slack are on and how the platforms are connecting more than ever before and even partnering with Claude now. The messaging is clear that @salesforce is going all in on Slack I’m so excited to learn this week what that means for their roadmap. What’s top of mind for you this year and what are you most excited about? #Dreamforce# #DF26# #slackforce# #claudeforce# @Benioff @SlackHQ @claudeai @rbgavin

This is Slack Surface, and this is a GAME CHANGER. In a matter of minutes, talking to Slackbot, I had reporting with a customer user interface that required no development. Obviously, I had to make it a theme. Natural language requests created INTERACTIVE modals with data from Salesforce. Ill be doing more with surfaces for myself and my customers. The possibilities here are only as limited as your imagination. @Benioff @parkerharris @SlackHQ @SlackAPI @rbgavin

☕️🎃 Pumpkin Coffee comin in hot like the energy in this house this week. First week of school vibes are runnin hot, and thankfully we aren’t losing our heads over it. But losing your head isn’t always a bad thing, especially if you happen to be Salesforce. With the announcement of Headless 360, the natural next question became - where do I surface my data and where does my UI shift to? ( User Interface - where people interact with systems) One little word is silently becoming the next evolution of headless systems and AI - Surfaces. Think of a surface as a component or widget that is part of any system you are currently using. Think about what it could mean if you had the ability to bring in data and create whatever visual you wanted. That is exactly what is starting to happen now. Companies are partnering more deeply, allowing connections and system interactions, visualized for us on “surfaces” within the system. In Salesforce it could be a LWC or home page widget and in Slack it might be a side panel, canvas or preview opening up from an HTML file and in Claude it might look like and side panel preview or widget bringing new life to our data. This shift to surfaces creates even more possibilities for our systems to speak to our users in more meaningful ways, ways that stay on brand and in context in the flow of work. As a natural answer within the Salesforce product stack, Slack as the engagement layer could be best positioned for the next advancements with surfaces and multiplayer channels. And with the recent Claude partnership announcement, I think more of the industry is starting to realize the strategy and intentionality behind what Salesforce has been piecing together these last few years. Salesforce seems to play the long game yet again. I’ll be exploring and explaining this in more detail over the next few months. 🗣️Here are a few recent feature and product drops - Slack Code Channels Claudeforce Slack Surfaces Temporary Join Channels Slackbot Generated Salesforce Channels Slackbot Slide Creation ❤️And please enjoy this picture of me with my new pumpkin and tired eyes #slack# #salesforce# #surfaces# #ai# #pumpkincoffee#

☕️ Coffee Talkin bout Slack Architects and the career journey that just makes sense @SlackHQ @SlackAPI
Interesting read. My TLDR? Seems like the AI bubble might be closer than we think and all that focus will be coming back to where the data lives and what’s powering those models. With Salesforce protecting the lion’s share of the data, trust and security of the platform it lives on will be the focus again. Don’t run from Salesforce - take a step back and look at the arc they’re on. Data 360, Informatica, Slack and a deeper partnership than ever before was Claude. I know what I’m gonna keep betting on. @Benioff @SlackHQ @claudeai

Op-ed: Salesforce just revealed the next battleground in AI — and it's not the models
📊 Enterprise Trends | AI is only as useful as the information it can actually help you find. That's why I think one of the biggest enterprise conversations around Slack + AI is going to become a conversation about search, knowledge management, permissions and governance. It's not just about turning AI on. It's about understanding where your organization's knowledge lives and how people should be able to access it. If you could connect ONE system into your enterprise search strategy tomorrow, what would it be? #slack# #salesforce# #ai# #enterprise# #futureofwork#

Surfaces in systems and on desktop are the next era and this positions Salesforce to stay competitive in the market. ⁉️The question on my mind - when are yall going to officially join forces and go through an aquisition? 🔥This is awesome. Salesforce made a great decision backing Slackbot with Claude and the partnership deepens with this next evolution of the platforms. @Benioff @claudeai

Claudeforce is here. ⚡️ The #1# AI (Claude) now runs natively on the #1# CRM (Salesforce). Through the new AIforce harness + Headless 360, Claude gets direct, governed access to Data 360, Tableau, Slack, and your entire Salesforce workflow—without ever leaving the chat. What this changes today: • Instant Grounded Intelligence — Ask complex enterprise questions and get real-time, trusted answers • App & Agent Builder — Deploy custom workflows, agents, and secure apps on the fly • Action-Oriented — Trigger live enterprise actions and get work done, not just summaries • Ironclad Governance — Zero Data Retention, full trust boundary, Salesforce-certified by default Probabilistic models alone can’t run a company. Deterministic systems alone can’t reason. Claudeforce fuses Claude’s reasoning with Salesforce’s trusted data and controls. The AI is the interface. This is how every business will run. See it at Dreamforce. #DF26#

Slack just redefined what a channel is. Slack Code lets agents like Claude Code and Devin create their own channels, work in the open with live diffs and previews, then archive themselves into an audit log when done. That's not a coding feature. That's a channel with structure, state, and a lifecycle. And it's multiplayer: engineers, marketers, and PMs all steering agents in the same space. Slack isn't where you talk about work anymore. It's the engagement layer where work happens. #SlackCode# #Slack# #AIAgents# #AgenticAI# #Salesforce# #FutureOfWork# @Benioff @SlackAPI @SlackHQ @claudeai @github

Don’t code alone. Slack Code is live. Humans and agents. Same channel. Same work. Launching today with agents from @AnthropicAI, @github, @Cognition, and @vercel. This is real multiplayer coding. See it at @Dreamforce #DF26#
